Staff travel is the only good thing about this place but there’s only so much leave you can take to enjoy that so it’s really not a good enough perk.

Old school management style - Very hierarchical, lots of people in leadership roles simply because of tenure, hard for anyone to have a voice. But they like to say they are a very progressive, inclusive, flat-structured, big-company-behaves-like-a-startup kind of company which is completely untrue. Resources are very limited. Tech infrastructure very old. Lack of vision and strategy. Everything is very reactive. Minimal effort into building a culture. Minimal investment into developing people.

Working at Jetstar has been a highlight of my career. The amount of change and hardship the business faced during Covid - yet the team consistently came together to achieve solutions for our teams and customers. I'm continually amazed at the passion, dedication and hard work of the teams involved in the operation are to make things happen.
