Pros

Great technology in a niche market

Cons

Everything is dictated by the the legal team. You cannot do anything without legal. You cannot have an idea without Legal approving. your employement agreement will be 16 pages of all the legal things you can't do after you leave, read everything! Don't trust them, they do not care about you, only about themselves.

Great workplace if CEO wakes up

Pros

Amazing people, good benefits, generous equity.

Cons

The company operates in a culture of fear, with reports of retaliation and the secret monitoring of employees' computer activities. The CEO is aware of many irregularities but chooses to overlook them. Promotions are driven by favoritism, and some departments are staffed with unqualified individuals. Company-wide meetings have an unsettling "supreme leader" vibe, where seasoned employees actively flatter leadership, turning it into a competition to see who can praise the C-suite the most. Senior leadership refuses to take questions anonymously. It's a shame because most employees are great people. Some members of the C-suite use authoritarian tactics and openly admit to favoritism.

Pros

Working at Jupiter Power has been an incredibly rewarding experience – it’s by far the best job I’ve ever had. Management is highly supportive, and I’m constantly impressed by the intelligence and dedication of my colleagues. While working cross-functionally can be challenging, the team’s collaborative spirit makes it manageable and even enjoyable, helping us consistently meet our goals. Leadership provides a clear and inspiring vision for the company, one that emphasizes making a positive impact on the world through clean energy initiatives. Additionally, the compensation is very competitive, which only adds to the job's many positives. My manager, in particular, stands out for her genuine support of my professional growth, showing a true investment in me not only as an employee but as a person. I couldn’t be happier to be part of this team.

Cons

The only challenge I’ve encountered is that, at times, the thorough process and approvals needed for projects can slow things down. However, I can appreciate that these checks ultimately support our commitment to high standards and alignment across teams.
