I worked at KBI Biopharma full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working at KBI, I was challenged every day. The work was fast paced and I grew a lot.

    Cons

Sometimes the work load was overwhelming, and some management doesn't understand that 50-6 0 hour work weeks shouldn't be expected.

I have been working at KBI Biopharma full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

As others have said KBI is a great place to gain experience while looking for a new job. Do you time while switching careers and then leave.

    Cons

You'll be overworked and be set up for failure. Training is minimal and you'll be yelled at when you make a mistake. Essentially you'll be a pair of hands to management. You won't have the opportunity to gain confidence and reach new heights. No one is planning ahead to make things better. If you do make a suggestion to make the company better you'll be put down and ignored.

I have been working at KBI Biopharma full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay can be higher than average depending on hiring manager and timing

    Cons

Awful culture leading to unclear outcomes, unethical handling of client material, and poor work-life balance. High turnover without any training plans means new hires are stuck hoping things are slow enough to learn while being shoved into situations they've had no preparation for. Promotion ceiling without a PhD comes up quick. Outside experience is valued above internal experience. PTO offered isn't worth anything if schedules leave no time to take it.

I have been working at KBI Biopharma full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - above average pay - good place to start right out of school - fast paced, always on your feet, you will learn a lot - if you are in a good group, it can be a great experience and very rewarding

    Cons

    - if you aren't in a good group, or if your manager sucks, it can be awful - facility is poorly maintained and they do not invest in it - no paternity leave and otherwise average benefits - a lot of the day-to-day lifestyle things like your workspace and parking are poor

I worked at KBI Biopharma full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You are over paid which only makes it more difficult to leave

    Cons

Lack of understanding of any industry regulations and even greater lack of desire to follow them. Decision makers couldn’t spell “CFR” if you spotted them the “C” and the “F”. That is exactly what this place is. A huge CF! Facility is unfit for use and it is a daily occurrence to see raw materials stored in hallways and left outside on loading dock. Work space is over crowded with several individuals crammed into every closet and corner of the building. Employees are forced to park in grass, dirt and gravel as the parking is inadequate for the facility. The facility is maintained on a shoestring budget and it shows.
