Amazing experience...until it wasn't.

Pros

Great people and culture. Corporate run company with an entrepreneurial feel. Working in NY allows for lots of opportunity and face time with the people running the show. Tenured employees are well respected and regarded by other tenured employees. You can make your voice heard when you impress/ respect the right people.

Cons

Having to showcase yourself all over again whenever new management was brought on. Rather than look at your length of time and growth with the brand they choose to see a hurdle for change. Relying on people above your direct reports to keep you safe from the chopping block.

The people on the ground work hard to figure out the struggles, to no avail

Cons

An unbelievable lack of understanding in upper management. HR clueless what to do with such a large problem. This is a burning ship and people are quitting en masse. Be warned

Pros

Hard working and friendly people at the bottom of the company. Good intentions, passionate, willing to go the to extra mile. The foundation of the whole company. Can foster great relationships.

Cons

Absolutely clueless upper management. Absolutely clueless strategies and miscommunication. Promote only within their ranks. Slowly creating a creeping toxic culture where the only way to get ahead is to join the chaos. Upper management that have been with the company for 15+ years and aren't changing any time soon. Get in line or get out. An HR team that is actively trying to suppress honest reviews. Look into their history...how many reviews are on the same day?
