I have been working at Klarna full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Some people are really good, but is unfortunate that most of them are leaving for other good companies.

    Cons

    - Negotiate your salary very well when starting, and do not believe on the irregular path, it is a LIE! It is just a way to tell you that you will never get a raise (Yes, raise! because to get promoted, you'll need magic!) - As i mentioned before, no Salary raises, they think the RSUs is a way of retaining people, but instead, it is just making people go away. - The CEO blatantly goes into official channels and press to talk about billion dollars investment and how the company is being successful and making tons of money in the press, but on the other side, did not provide even a help on buying office stuff for home-office during COVID - Yes, COVID is an issue of itself, the company clearly don't know what they are doing, and lie on the face of the employees saying that "other companies" are having the same behaviour as them asking for the employees to come back to the office during a pandemic. - Micromanagement at its best! They want to control everything but at the end, they do not control nothing! But they don't want to trust their employees as well, so everything is chaotic! - Everyone is leaving! The CEO is trying to lie saying that turnover level is "ONLY" at 12% (Which is super high), but clearly is higher, i know a lot of teams that everyone left (Even the manager). - Everyone is unhappy while the CEO says it is a great company.

I have been working at Klarna full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. If you do a good job there are always exciting roles/opportunities to grow into 2. Good opportunities to challenge the status quo and make a personal impact 3. A lot of fun and talented colleagues

    Cons

    1. Sometimes there are quite junior people in senior roles leading to higher levels of stress than necessary 2. Sometimes too focused on deliverables over personal growth/competence development

I have been working at Klarna full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - fair compensation - solid talent in the US - sales team is pretty good (yes they’re buying market share, but they’ve done a good job digging legacy Klarna out of the hole that the company put itself in)

    Cons

    - politics and bureaucracy are at the core of the company; ways of working are out of touch and inefficient (a lot of this comes from HQ in Sweden) - very difficult to make decisions without approval from the bureaucracy; results in limited personal growth - the company’s reputation is decreasing fast in the industry/among partner orgs (ex: “it seems that Klarna has been in a re-org for 3 years straight”)

I have been working at Klarna full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Challenging work, okay salary, lovely people

    Cons

Toxic Work environment. Senior management does NOT care about the people that keep the business going. Decisions are made without properly consulting the people who need to do the actual work. If CXOs say do it, you better have done it yesterday already. Multiple people have burnt out in the year that I have been there, and leads are fired in a heart beat. Teams are under-staffed and the only focus is on resourcing the engineers.
