I have been working at Knowledgent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Solid knowledge-base and really smart people. Opportunity exists for those who want to grow their careers, don't expect to coast like in a larger consulting company. Very charitable organization, and the outreach is led by employees on a volunteer basis which made for some fun and meaningful cultural events. They recently won an award from Consulting Magazine for it, and I'm proud of that as a volunteer.

    Cons

It's competitive, so be aware of that. The consulting based is spread across the US, so be prepared to be with your project team (and no one else) for prolonged periods.

I have been working at Knowledgent

    Pros

Over the last 12 months management has been focused on scaling its operations and employee involvement. Overall, positive developments in all areas. The firm is singularly focused on helping Fortune 500 companies navigate the world of Big Data and Advanced Analytics. A collaborative environment, smart people and client focused culture.

    Cons

Changing the culture of an organization is not easy and takes time. While progress is being made, continued focus needs to be maintained.

    Knowledgent Response

    January 4, 2016Human Resources

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge that the Management Team has made a concerted effort to improve upon the culture, communication and cooperation across the business. It certainly does take time and the effort is being recognized as evidenced by this post and as well as in our most recent internal employee survey.

I have been working at Knowledgent full-time

    Pros

Smart people Growing fast Strong effort to treat everyone equally Culture of high performance and self-direction Competent, accomplished, and know their industry

    Cons

Growing fast (there are always challenges that come with that) Typical cons of a consultancy: generally high travel, at times there is limited visibility to the next project; processes are a little too loose (result of growing quickly) so you're on your own to find the right internal expert Communication (always a challenge in any company), but management recognizes this and is improving

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Knowledgent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are some smart people who have tried to position this company in the best light possible. As a matter of fact they have staked their own reputations on it and came out with the short end of the stick.

    Cons

Arrogant ...ruthless senior leadership who don't care about anyone but themselves. If you care about your career Knowledgent will never be on your resume.

    Knowledgent Response

    August 17, 2015Human Resources

Thank you for your response. Having been employed with the firm over a year you must have had positive reasons for staying on board so its unfortunate you chose only to post your negative views with a hyperbolic title. While dealing with negative reviews is tough it’s crucial in building the best possible team and company. One of the reasons the firm has grown and excelled as it has is because of critical or constructive reviews and the changes we’ve implemented since receiving them.

I have been working at Knowledgent full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Knowledgent is a great place to work for those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and like to work on cool projects with smart people. The company has evolved its focus and employees to be almost entirely focused on data and analytics and there is a constant flow of innovative big data and data science projects to dive into. Good work has been done create data-centric competencies that facilitate collaboration, knowledge-sharing and training.

    Cons

As the company is relatively young, there's some work needed to improve processes and organizational discipline. The pace is quite fast and can be overwhelming for those who aren't prepared.

I have been working at Knowledgent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of challenging work. Some really smart people. All current technologies. Starting new initiatives to ensure consistent delivery methodologies and new employee orientation and training. Competitive salaries. Also just put a new peer to peer coaching program in place which seems promising.

    Cons

Lots of travel - most new clients are not local. Just starting to really put a consistent methodology and proper new ee on-boarding in place, This has been lacking in the past but mgmt is making an effort to address these issues. No 401K matching.
