RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
- Very strong in healthcare and lifesciences; doing truly strategic and transformative work and supporting very innovative companies with their Japan strategy - Very international, diverse environment - Flat hierarchy - Transparent, sincere culture - Smart and hardworking team members - Offers pathways to a range of other good opportunities, including good grad school options, marketing / strategy roles at leading healthcare and tech companies, private equity and equity research, etc. - Global brand that is recognized in US, EU and beyond
Cons
- Some projects have long working hours - Healthcare focus isn't for some - International environment may not be so good for people who want too immerse themselves in Japanese corporate culture

"Brutal hours and thankless culture. Avoid at all costs"
- Work/Life Balance★★★★★
- Culture & Values★★★★★
- Career Opportunities★★★★★
- Compensation and Benefits★★★★★
- Senior Management★★★★★
Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than a year
Pros
- Handfull of intelligent colleagues - Opportunity to engage with overseas offices - Pay comparable with industry competitors
Cons
- Poor talent retention. More than 50% of the office resigned in 2018 - Terrible working hours, even by industry standards. Expect to finish 3 to 4 in the morning, with constant weekend work - Dysfunctional pyramid structure, with insufficient number of middle level staffs, - Thankless and toxic culture, driven by leadership. Avoid at all costs at any position / level here. Find something else, and you will not regret.
Pros
Very young and dynamic working atmosphere. Good pay.
Cons
I agree to some extent that the company is a research sweatshop. Working hours are definitely long. Sometimes you would also want to have a more diverse task and more say than just doing due diligence research. You don't feel like you're learning anything new except for doing more hardcore research.
