An opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally.

From day one, you are challenged daily not only to grow, learn and strive to be the best professionally, but also to become greater as an individual outside of the work environment. The culture is unlike any other "job" and I've never thought of my career here as just a "job". Everyone here wants to be the best they can be, and are always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Everyone, no matter what your title may be, has the opportunity to impact and grow the company and all it takes is your drive and determination to do so. All the tools you may need to become better are provided and there is no such thing as "I can't" here. It is inspiring to come in and see the constant determination to become better every single day and the clear vision given by "The Boss" about where we are going as a company makes me want to give 100% each and every day I have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful company.
Cons
There aren't too many opportunities for advancement as far as titles go, but even then I can not honestly state there are downfalls to this company. Even if you're not part of "management", that means nothing. If you want to take lead of a project or give input to change the company for the better, EVERYONE has the ability to do so.

Pros
I just have to say that after reading some of these reviews, they are honestly absurd. It's very easy to be critical in hindsight in every aspect of life, but in reality, this company is great and handles its employees very well. Some of these reviews are written by people who have clearly malicious intents. This company isn't perfect, but it's culture really is something to be praised and sought after. As someone who works hard at their job every single day, it's frustrating to see that people are taking their jobs for granted and are being malicious and slandering the company with lies that they've made up in their heads. I just wanted to put in my two cents and say that these negative reviews are completely made up and have no backing whatsoever. When people can post whatever they want anonymously, take it with a grain of salt. I'll also mention that I've personally never heard of a single person complain about any of these issues in the office, but when they can get behind a keyboard and do it anonymously, they let the floodgates open. Just saying, if you see something wrong and you want change, make it happen. It's not going to happen by making stuff up and posting it anonymously on a website. Anyway, the company has grown rapidly and management has done a great job at adjusting to this rapid growth and making sure its employees still feel valued and understood.
Cons
hmm... the coffee could be better :)

Not like other reviews make it out to be
15 Jun 2016 - Medical Records Clerk in Bryan, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
PTO, holidays off, Monday-Friday work week, insurance. Environment is fun and competitive where individuals/teams are constantly working to improve measured numbers and become more efficient. Relaxed atmosphere, no dress code (t-shirt and jeans are fine). Team leads are understanding and care about their teams, and appreciation is shown often. No matter what these other reviews say, over time is not required. I'd actually like to know who thinks it's required because we are asked to not work overtime without prior approval. Management is very understanding in regards to emergencies, needing time off or needing to leave early, within reason of course. Just like any job, when you're there you're expected to work, but they let you have fun while you're doing it. You have the opportunity to relax throughout the day, chat with office mates, take a few little breaks here and there and then get back to work. Youre expected to do a good job and get a lot of work done. The work is pretty easy once you've learned the systems and what you're doing.
Cons
Raises haven't always been consistent. For a company that has a pretty high turnover due to students coming and going, longevity isn't always as appreciated as it should be.

An awesome environment with an awesome group of coworkers
29 Oct 2014 - Medical Records Clerk in Bryan, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great working atmosphere, very encouraging of personal and professional growth, huge emphasis on maintaining a great culture, always encouraging innovation and moving forward, fast pace work environment, great coworkers who play as a team, top level management has great passion and vision, has potential to be a great career, management genuinely cares about you and life outside of work, structured biweekly meetings with your supervisor, easily accessible management, management has open ears to concerns and suggestions, solid communication from the top down of company goals and direction, new building coming soon, consistent growth, overall the BEST culture I have ever been a part of.
Cons
Young/inexperienced company, relatively poor pay, no benefits, low retention, high turnover, generally just a pit stop for young people fresh out of college, not sure why management is dragging their feet on making serious raise/salary offers to top tier employees instead of letting them leave the company.

Pros
There are so many pros to this job that it actually makes me upset that someone could allegedly hate this job so much that they feel the need to anonymously post bad/untrue things on this website. I will start by saying this is the best job I've ever had. It's an 8-5 Monday- Friday job with OPTIONAL overtime. Not only is it the most welcoming environment I've probably ever been in, but it also has the coolest people I've ever met. The CEO of the company works in office with us and praises people daily for exceeding past their goals. The director of operations is always (literally always) in a great mood, which I feel reflects on everyone else. I've never not wanted to come into work. You are held responsible for the work you do daily, and you have potential to receive a raise every 3 months based on that work. Again, this is the best job I've ever had. All the other reviews I have read on here are fowl and are written in poor taste.
Cons
There aren't too many cons to this job. The workload can be a bit much sometimes, but if you are ever feeling overworked, there is always someone to talk to or even take some work off your hands.

Pros
My coworkers on the ground level were all awesome to work with. There was truly a fun atmosphere about the place that made the culture unique and fun to be a part of. There was also one team lead that I respected. She had some great ideas, and awesome leadership skills. Unfortunately she was overshadowed by the team lead above her. All in all, the people at the entry level position here (about 80% of the company) are awesome to work with.
Cons
The team leads here are the worst leaders I have ever been under. I was openly lied to, manipulated, and overworked on a weekly basis. Most of the team leads have been in their position for several years now, and the owner has grown accustom to their poor management. I guess he can't see it for what it is anymore. At one time, this was a great, young, and up and coming company to work for. It had that fast paced startup tech company feel about it with all of the young employees. However, money, growth, or some combination has gone to the leaders heads and the culture here is crashing fast. People are now numbers. Benefits are trimmed behind the scenes. More work is demanded. Decent raises are refused or never granted as promised. It was a burden off of my shoulders when I moved away and left this company.

Best Place to Work
30 Oct 2014 - Medical Records Clerk in Bryan, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Legal Monkeys has an amazing culture and atmosphere while working. They give you incentives to work hard and plus everyone is so fun and friendly here. It makes you want to do a good job because everyone else is giving their best. We even have waffle days where we make waffles in the morning and we have competitions where we could win tickets to see a movie. They try to make it fun and interesting. Besides the creativity, they is room to grow within this company. They give opportunities to take on more responsibility and climb the career ladder. They want you to be the best you can be. We sometimes have little lectures on performance and how to grow. I have learned a lot from working here and will apply to everywhere I go.
Cons
There are not a lot of cons to legal monkeys. The one thing I would say that it is a young company and growing a lot. The office space is smaller so they will be needing to move soon because we are growing so fast. But thats actually a good thing! One other thing is that right now we do not receive any health insurance but I have heard that we will be getting that soon!

Work here if your looking to grow
26 Aug 2015 - Medical Records Clerk in Bryan, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Legal monkeys offers you all the opportunity you need to develop and grow in leadership, company culture, and developing your own "why". Through all the work you do, the leadership helps you to not just advance in the company but advance your own skills and values as well. It's a smaller company so they allow you to work on what your passionate about aside from the main work that you do, which will be collecting medical records for personal injury law firms. The CEO is incredibly passionate about leadership and development and if you show/have any interest in that, you'll be in a good place.
Cons
The work there just plainly isn't fun or fulfilling. The coworkers are all fun and make it worth it but the work can flat out get old. I think everyone knows that too which is why they have fostered a culture of appreciation and fun. One other con is that the company just doesn't pay a lot of money for how hard the employees work. Some employees don't care about the work but others do and really try hard but they all get paid the same. The same could be said for other companies as well so what are you going to do?
