I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good Pay and decent benefits

    Cons

Supervisors not communicated to from above. Middle man scapegoat for management.

    Advice to Management

Let Supervisors be supervisors and let them actually take care of their people.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good Pay, friendly co-workers who treat each other as family

    Cons

Local Management bully and threaten hourly and salaried workers. Local HR covers their managers behavior no matter how bad. HR trolls company ratings that are negative to try to keep the word from getting out.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat workers with respect before corporate gets wise and sends you on your way. Once corporate figures out why it is so hard to retain good help and what is truly causing the attrition is not the hours or schedule, it is local management and HR who enables their behavior at all costs.

    Pros

Pay is good but that is all

    Cons

Supervisor only help out theirs friends.Bad cheese is being made because red hats and supervisors take a lot of long breaks.Freezer operators take hour lunches and at least 4 to 5 half hours breaks. These issues are not fixed because of who they know and as long as it doesn’t affect upper management nothing will get fixed.Pay is good but if you’re not valued at all then it’s not worth working there.red hats can falsify...

    Advice to Management

people will continue to leave as long as you do nothing.Especially the people that have been there for a long time and don’t like how things are being run now.Everyone should be treated equally regardless of who they know,go out with or are friends with.Corporate needs to fix this otherwise the fort Morgan plant won’t do anything because they will protect their own.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay is good, benefits are OK, physical environment is pleasant although parking is terrible

    Cons

Without question, Leprino is an old school company. They think this is one of their strengths which is a glaring sign of being "out-of-touch" as other reviewers have mentioned. If you are a clean cut, male, with enough arrogance to be a jerk 80% of the time, you will fit right in and have a nice career trajectory. Diversity is very limited to what you would expect in a company from the 30 years ago. There are...

    Advice to Management

Continue to collect your very generous paychecks and await your golden retirement packages, knowing that most employees are also waiting for your retirement and the inevitable house-cleaning that will accompany it. Relish that you have held the good-old-boys network together and done your part to suppress diversity, inclusion and respect.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The pay is average for manufacturing as it used to be above average, but average is better than below average. Benefits are average, holiday pay is good along with the several paid holidays.

    Cons

Old style leadership that is results driven only meaning the employees are pretty much just a seniority number. The employee moral is negative because of lack of communication and they get frustrated with surprises. No work life balance is the common factor with hourly and supervisor employees. Supervisors forced to work days off with no compensation and leads to negative attitudes towards hourly work force, then hourly...

    Advice to Management

Every work place has opportunities, but collaboration with hourly and supervisor level employees on finding solutions for the common issues instead of doing things the lazy way and just writing employees up and making them feel alone and demotivated. Invest in you management team on how to empower people or maybe place them in roles with no direct reports, but replace them with individuals with leadership and management...

    Cons

Your life will be taken away. The customer is not first. Tech services, project eng., and HR are a joke.

    Advice to Management

stop allowing support groups to dictate direction. The true story will not be learned until he truly retires.

I worked at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The pay is good for the area. Some changes are starting to be made The Company's future continues to grow and diversify Workforce cares and wants to improve things.

    Cons

Local management is HORRIBLE! Management is quick to blame and dodge responsibility Many good people have been pushed out. High turnover due to poor leadership

    Advice to Management

Take a close look at what is happening. This plant was once a very cohesive team. Management changes resulted in deception, paranoia, and ethical decline in business performance. A top to bottom flush of management may give workers hope for change. Unfortunately its already too late for many talented people left already

I worked at Leprino Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Great for an individual looking to work hard and move up. Many great people to work with not for. I have had the luxury of meeting people and gaining experiences in the company from Mr. Leprino, various V.P's, Directors, various events and so on that most employees will never have due to my family.

    Cons

Its big business and if you want to advance you better have some thick skin and be prepared to work. People tend to lose sight of where they came from even though everyone has a job to at the end of the day. I have a different twist then most that work with this company as I am not the only person in my family that works or has done business with Leprino, so the negative will remain unsaid out of respect for those people...

    Advice to Management

You ride the best until they are burned out or you keep them cornered. Change and adaptability are great, but don't forget how this company came to what it is today. It is a remarkable family business. Give the tools for success to those that are vested, take pride, learn and teach others.
