You learn a lot about water chemistry. It is rewarding to see a pool go from green to clear.

I have been working at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You learn a lot. I applied right out of college and I am basically using it as a jumping off point.

    Cons

Lots of upper management changes constantly. It has made it hard for me to establish a mentor or for the company to gain a good work culture. Use this job to gain experience but don’t expect to be able to support a family.

I have been working at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Get to learn a lot of new things, learn how to close and run a store on your own, and if your employees you work with are cool enough you'll have a great vibe.

    Cons

Sometimes the district managers are strict. Moving salt or DE powder is my least favorite. Heavy lifting on occasion.

I worked at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies

    Pros

Chill work environment, lots of down time. For those who are in school. You learn a lot of knowledge about pools which can be pointless, afterwards.

    Cons

CORPORATE! They swear they know how to train new employees, by sitting them in front of a computer. They’ll give you more than 40hrs a week, due to not having the store fully staffed. Managers are not allowed to hire extra help, and the pay is unfortunately low.

  9. "Seasonal Leslie’s Sales Associate Review"

    5.0
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies part-time

    Pros

Leslie’s was a wonderful place to work! I learned a lot, and the customer interactions were so great!

    Cons

Working as a Sales Associate at Leslie’s requires more than just your basic customer service and sales skills. You need to know a lot of very specific information about pools and spas, and it was sometimes frustrating when co-workers had not retained much of their training and were unknowledgable about basic pool and spa information.
