I have been working at Lincoln Financial Distributors full-time

    Pros

Good pay, strong leadership, and plenty of opportunities to grow

    Cons

Pay has decreased year after year (partially due to sales environment) and no streamlined career advancement opportunities unless one wants to stay in sales.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your internals.

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Distributors full-time

    Pros

Excellent environment to be a part of. Coworkers are very helpful if you have questions.

    Cons

Maybe not enough work for someone working 40 hours a week. It can get a little boring as an intern.

    Advice to Management

Try to have more projects set up for the interns.

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Distributors full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Benefits-unbelievable 401k benefits and generous PTO;Lincoln is a big organization and there are many opportunities within the company. Upper management is open to discussing future career paths if asked. Management is open to changing and recently got rid of the activity requirements

    Cons

Lack of flexibility in terms of working hours; lots of career opportunities but the departments can be very siloed and it can be difficult to learn about the other areas of the organization without actively networking

    Advice to Management

Look to provide increased flexibility in both work schedules and provide more work from home options. Increased transparency and visibility with the other departments will help individuals decide which way to go within the organization and reduce turnover.

I worked at Lincoln Financial Distributors full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

PTO is decent to start, 401k match is pretty good. Annuity Sales desk located in Radnor/Wayne which is a nice area.

    Cons

Where do I start lol. With every corporate job you know what your getting... a big organization with a lot of politics, lots of middle management, tough to climb the corporate ladder. 1. There are a lot of "Rules" to follow at Lincoln you almost feel like a kid in grade school again. You absolutely must be in the office for 9 hours a day, 8 working hours and an hour for lunch. They make you take an hour for lunch.... For example if you wanted to just work 8 hours and skip lunch or eat at your desk- not allowed. Have to be there 9 hours and they know because there is a clock in and out system. 2. Sales desk management has the "what have you done for me lately" attitude all the time. 3. They are very old school there, not much flexibility for anything. If you are hoping for flex hours or "work from home" on occasion.. think again that is not tolerated here. When in all reality anyone can because your on the phone and your computer for 9 hours. 4. There are also activity requirements for every internal sales person. You must have at least 60 phone calls per day and are put on a warning if you do not meet this requirement. The goal of their model is work you hard for little bonus pay, to the point where you get burned out after a year, year and half. Turnover rate is insane, they keep their entry level desk stocked always with young kids to fill the internal wholesaler openings. 5. The monthly bonus is laughable. Very hard to make good money at this organization because they "do not believe in paying internal sales". Finally there is a TON OF FAVORITISM within the organization. Certain people probably about 5% get favorable treatment and move very quickly into other positions.

    Advice to Management

It's time for the CEO to really take a look what's going on at the internal sales level. A fresh young, foreword thinking manager is needed badly for the annuity internal sales!

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Distributors full-time

    Pros

Incredible benefits, opportunity for growth within the company. The management team provides numerous opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

    Cons

The activity requirements are sometimes extremely difficult to achieve based on current market conditions and macro events. The office needs a bit of updating, and the workplace environment can be a bit loud at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue to put the employees first and give them ample opportunities to develop and grow within the company. Try to create a more positive environment for employees on a consistent basis.
