I worked at LiveWatch Security full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    None that come to mind.

    Cons

I had worked for Livewatch Security, now possibly known as Moni Smart Security, for just over two years and never once was I happy with the circumstances or management. When I worked in tech support, my direct supervisors refused to allow many employees lunch breaks. I often worked 12-14 hour days without a single break. I may have been allowed one lunch break a month, if I was lucky. In addition to long hours and no breaks, management was very prejudiced. One employee could violate a company policy and be terminated for it, while the next employee could violate the same policy and management chose to ignore it. In one instance, a particular employee was frequently late and undependable. That employee was terminated. There was another employee who was late more often than the previous mentioned employee and they suffered no consequences, because "if we fire her she will leave a bad review". The company also claims to pride themselves in honesty. Like any sales company, the sales reps will tell any lie to make a sale and instead of being reprimanded for their dishonesty, they are rewarded for making the sale, regardless of how dishonest the sale was. Pay is also unfairly distributed within the company. If you are not a lying sales rep, or a relative of the owners and upper management, pay is quite unfair. Where an employee within technical support gets paid very little, rarely receives breaks, and is offered no bonuses or additional insentive, sales reps are highly rewarded for not only every sale they make, but given additional bonuses simply for things like, making the first sale of the day, or a sale within a certain hour. A sales rep will lie to make a sale and get rewarded, while another department is honest, takes the heat of the angry customer for the lies he has been told, saves the customer from cancelling and even sells him the correct equipment (because sales reps don't understand the equipment and only base their sales on what makes them the most money), yet that employee gets no reward or commission. In one week, a sales rep can, and often does, make 2 to 3 times as much as the harder working, honest employees that hold the company together. Quitting Livewatch was the best move I have ever made and would never recomend Livewatch as a place of employment or as a security company to my worst enemy. In addition to quitting, I have discouraged a minimum of three people from applying to Livewatch, and have convinced two customers to cancel.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security part-time for more than a year

    Pros

LiveWatch is great for allowing you to grow in the company. Promotions are positive reinforcement for good work and happen in a timely manner. Professional, yet fun, family atmosphere.

    Cons

Since it is a young company, the policy changes happen frequently, making it only slightly frustrating to adjust to new conditions while juggling anything else.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I recommend this job for anyone, but especially for young and enthusiastic people. As a college student with a tight schedule, it was hard to find a job that could be flexible and not too strenuous that I could fit in with my studies. Livewatch proved to be an excellent fit, with the amazing flexibility, understanding, cheerful dispositions of the management. The spirit of the Livewatch community is familial. Everyone works hard to keep each others spirits up, to assist a colleague, and to ensure a customer's satisfaction. The mood is always that of cheer and encouragement; one cannot help but smile, even through the difficult problems, here with the amazing employees. Each employee works as hard and as quickly as possible to solve a problem, or pass a smile along. And the great thing about Livewatch is we work so hard as a team, and with everyone on board, we are extremely successful. With such an enthusiastic environment that inspires and encourages, I value my time here.

    Cons

Sometimes a "not-my-job" obstacle arises where if a specific person is unable to assist, there's a dead end and an issue cannot be resolved right away. This results in a long hold and potentially dissatisfies the customer and assisting employee.

I worked at LiveWatch Security full-time

    Pros

It shows career seekers how a company should NOT be run.

    Cons

It's extremely humorous that our upper level snobby executives who have little to no formal education only want to hire people with very expensive degrees and on top of that, pay them almost nothing to work for them. LiveWatch is not the only company for talented and educated millenials to work at, get over yourselves. LiveWatch's number one thing to sell candidates is "promotion from within", but if you aren't from the "in" crowd, you aren't getting promoted and if you do, you will not be paid for it, unless of course you are a male.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security full-time for more than a year

    Pros

LiveWatch trains their employees to assist customers with testing and troubleshooting their security systems. Once you have mastered the skills of your Tier there are opportunities to advance. LiveWatch is interested in their employees and wants to help them reach their full potential within the company. LiveWatch employees are team oriented. There is always someone to reach out to for assistance when needed. You receive recognition for your hard work! Having a job with LiveWatch is great if you are in college. LiveWatch allows my work schedule to revolve around my class schedule. If you are wanting to learn, work hard, and grow professionally in an energetic, fast paced environment, this is the job for you!

    Cons

LiveWatch is a busy, thriving company. This makes working hours long and the breaks short. If you are not able to make it out for lunch, LiveWatch makes sure that there is food provided. That being said, if you are available for overtime, your paychecks will reflect your generosity and team spirit. If you are not familiar with security systems before you are hired, the information provided in training can be a little overwhelming. Once you start taking calls, it gets much easier. The training specialists are great and provide further in depth training after the initial training period.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security full-time

    Pros

LiveWatch is a fantastic employer. The atmosphere is very friendly, but very professional. The management is very kind and approachable. There are many, many opportunities for someone hoping to excel in their career. Being a part of the LiveWatch family has been a great experience so far, and hopefully for a long time to come. I would have to give LiveWatch five stars.

    Cons

To be completely honest, I can't think of a single downside of working at LiveWatch.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I've been working at LiveWatch for a bit over 3 years now. The people (in general the ones there for more than a year) are just great. It's very interesting to see that the ones that last in the company for more than about a year are generally good workers, with good standards and that appreciate what LiveWatch is doing, and that the rest are "weeded" out. Most of the complaints and down talk I've personally heard about LiveWatch are either from people who have angrily quit or just over something relatively silly (especially when compared to a stable job). This job has many aspects to it that is suitable for a wide spectrum of people... from needing a part time job while going to school, to just a good 40 hour job to support a family.

    Cons

There are some moments where I am not sure how the pay structure works (not always in a negative sense) but then again, I'm not in management and I don't have the numbers.

I worked at LiveWatch Security full-time for more than a year

    Pros

One of the best things about Livewatch is that its values as a company include not only giving the best possible service to the customer, but also creating a positive work environment for the employee as well. I have to say I've expended more effort into promoting the goals of my team in this job than any other I've had, for this one reason: I felt like we were striving for an ideal together, to be the best in the industry, and that kind of enthusiasm is contagious. Achieving our goals as a team was always encouraged by rewards; never was the emphasis on simply nagging us to work harder or "getting in trouble" if you didn't try hard enough. Also, when goals were achieved, there was general celebration, and promised rewards were always followed through on. Another huge perk for me was the benefits package which included an HSA account. This helped me pay for both glasses and a dental procedure with no out-of-pocket expense.

    Cons

One things I would have liked was to have more opportunities for promotion and corresponding pay raises in my department. However, rewards for working harder especially on certain projects did include some monetary compensation, so overall it's not a big con.

I have been working at LiveWatch Security full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

People always say "If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life." and this has been my exact experience at LiveWatch. I have been with LiveWatch for 5 years, and it has become my home away from home. My co-workers have become family, and I truly love coming to work every day. I can't imagine there being another company that cares as much as LiveWatch does about its internal and external customers. The people are the most important part of any business, and if the people are happy they will do great work and like to do their job. The culture and morale of the LiveWatch team is uncomparable and because of this, it is an ideal job.

    Cons

I'll let you know when I think of something.
