      Pros

Great staff in most branches I've worked in, friendly and usually know what they're doing

      Cons

Upper management overspend on locums instead of getting additional contract pharmacists

Great people but have been pushed away from bad management

      Pros

I worked with Lloyds as a Saturday guy whilst studying in Edinburgh for 2 and a half years. I got to work throughout different branches and I worked with fantastic people who I still wish I got to work with to this day. Along with being able to gain more work experience and getting more work when it was quieter with university.

      Cons

The management is absolutely appalling, pressuring the staff to meet all these targets whilst being short staffed, along with the dodgy pay leaving people out of pocket, giving people bonuses to then ask for it back, ignoring major issues with shops by allowing damages to go un-repaired for weeks on end. Leading to great pharmacists and dispensers to resigning and finding work elsewhere which is a shame as the shops are struggling even more than before.

      Pros

Patient care number one priority. Push colleagues to progress, whether it’s related to training or career

      Cons

Head office useless, especially the rota office for pharmacists

      Pros

Some of the employees are great to work with

      Cons

Management are so detached from the reality of working in a community pharmacy. There are unrealistic targets in place and staff are not given the support they need. Pay is not particularly competitive and they offer much more to locums than they do their own pharmacists when asking to cover extra shifts.

Believe the reviews, I wish I had. Lloyds is a terrible company!!

      Pros

Paid lunch as a pharmacist, however, be careful as they expect you to not have lunch on busy days. That’s it really.

      Cons

Poor pensions - minimum, terrible benefits, unsafe working conditions. The most disorganised company I have ever worked for. From not approving holidays within reasonable time to overpaying bonuses and asking staff to refund them months later. You can’t make it up. Upper management treat the store staff with so much contempt, it’s unreal. Lack of support. Negative environment with unhealthy competition between stores leading to poaching of the best support staff. You’d think they would try poaching from other companies but no, they’d rather score own goals. Honestly, go elsewhere. As a pharmacist, you’re just a retail staff to them. They prey on newly qualified who are not privy to their reputation in the industry. So if you’re a pre reg/NQ, speak to older colleagues before accepting an offer with this terrible company.

      Pros

None used to be a good company years ago!!

      Cons

Not enough staff work with minimum required making pharmacy very unsafe with pharmacist self labelling dispensing and checking Staff not trained to level they should be . HCP course very basic Huge staff cut backs within one year . New higher management structure just introduced making it impossible now to contact anyone who is a major decision maker More concerned with NHS figures and signing up CMS patients than ensuring a safe efficient caring environment No appreciation to pharmacists who regularly go in early to keep the momentum in branch. No support for pharmacists where branches have NPPM All pharmacists paid different rates of pay which all are below national average and don’t dare discuss with colleagues! Expected to work 8.5 hours solid with no break
