It is oil field work. Hot, cold ,dusty, rainy, snowy, muddy, dangerous, dirty, unpredictable, and one of the best jobs in trucking. They slipseat so you better not skimp on your pretrip.. The equipment takes a beating. They have a very high turnover.
Advice to Management
Keep your good employees and let the rest go.

I have been working at Maalt Transport full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Get treated well by management and other drivers
Cons
They lie bout what you'll be making. They advertise that drivers average $1,200-$1,300 a week, in actuality drivers are lucky to average $700 a week. Also, when a well is completed and we're waiting for the next one to start, we don't get paid during that time, which can be upwards of 7 days of no work and no pay, unless you wanna go sit at the terminal and do hardly anything all day for $12 an hour, which means you have to be at the terminal for 10+ hours just to earn the equivalent of one load.
Advice to Management
When in between wells, pay at least $50 a day to keep drivers. You'd keep more drivers if they got at least $350 a week when there's no work versus a $0 check. What I don't get is why the Ohio drivers get $125 a day even in between wells, but you can't get that for the Texas drivers.

I worked at Maalt Transport full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
Not one good to say about this place
Cons
Some Management is involved in theft, overtime hours are awarded to those who are willing to sit at home and be friends with the bosses, bosses gives OT hours as long as when payday comes around you give him/her half the OT pay, company moto, snitches get stiches. 4 year's at this place I have seen it all, no raises, insurance is a joke unless you want to give up half your monthly salary. This place is partaking In Illegal activity on the federal, state, Government levels. Stay away!
Advice to Management
Need to realize what is going on in the company and get to know their supervisors and operators, get to know who is making them the millions and not stealing it from under their noses
