RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Man Group full-time
Pros
Flat management structure; relaxed atmosphere; good initiatives around diversity and inclusion; senior management very open about the company's performance and direction.
Cons
No formal appraisal process or setting of objectives so linking your performance to reward is mostly a matter of guesswork, at best. Still plenty of big egos kicking around.

RecommendsNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Man Group full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Bright people, often interesting work, reasonable hours, pay good for some, very friendly, open, collaborative atmosphere.
Cons
- Business is more sales focussed than research focussed. - (Rightly) doesn't use shiniest newest tech everywhere but likes to pretend that it does. - Tech often patronised by fancy toys (eg 3d printer) as if this makes up for lack of salary increases. - Refusal by senior management to talk about areas of failure honestly to the employees, as if no one would notice if its not mentioned.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Man Group full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Entrepreneurial spirit, diversity of opportunity, willingness to support internal moves, occasionally interesting culture. A lot of fun, bright people. If you're in the right part of the business and friends with the right people can be very lucrative. Lunch budget is provided, although significantly less than it once was.
Cons
Highly political environment, senior management operate a very hedge fund approach which doesn't mix so well with a public company, very short term view, long working hours (in certain roles). Extreme discrepancies in terms of pay.

Cons
Don't listen to client needs Expensive products with limited transparent on fees Senior Management detached from staff and clients Hire rather than promote internally

RecommendsI have been working at Man Group
Pros
A good firm with decent people - very sales driven and workers given freedom to work independently and contribute to the business. Senior management very approachable.
Cons
Likes to promote within - can be good but has led to underqualified people in certain positions. Historically, a lack of investment in people (and systems).
