Pros
Friendly staff, great benefits package, good senior leadership
Cons
The path up the corporate ladder is a frustrating one. The ability to get stuck in one position for a long while is pretty much the way of the hotels and casinos out here.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino full-time
Pros
Great company, great benefits, room to grow.
Cons
Promotions take years, most management is good, but there's always that one person who serves a hurdle rather than a helper in your success.

I worked at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino for less than a year
Pros
Great benefits at no cost to you, pay was awesome and during the busy season the hours were good and pretty steady even halfway down the on call list. The free show tickets and believe it or not, the EDR food was really good.
Cons
As with any on call job, your start times varied every day and you had to call at 0630 to find out your call time for the next day, even if you had just gotten off shift at 1am. It didn't make for a very pleasant experience some days. Training should have been better on how to properly do pull rooms. The guy who trained me trained me totally wrong.

RecommendsPositive OutlookI worked at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Always opportunity to move up and/or transfer, great benefits & decent starting pay, amazing discounts on anything from room rates, to retail store and even cars.
Cons
No matter which department you work in they will always micromanage you simply because of ratings between the top properties; if one department isn't doing so well they come up with new regulations that come down on ALL departments(even if your department is a shining example).
