I worked at Mesa Air full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The best reason to work in Mesa good reputation company, and one of the fastest airlines industry’s in the USA. More on opportunity await.

    Cons

Well, it’s a small salary, but more on benefits.

    Advice to Management

In order to expand the company keep more on recruitment of a staff, to give us more idea and share experiences from other employee. FA. From those expertise and experienced of a customer service priority in the airlines industry.

I have been working at Mesa Air full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Become a line holder fast. International trips immediately Family environment

    Cons

Mesa is the lowest paying Regional airline Management plays favorites, and are unprofessional, click-ish, and gossiping. Be careful when reporting or giving feedback about issues relating to job duties because you may get scolded for it. High turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who practice confidentiality. Hire ppl willing and ready to work as a team. Weed out the “mean girls” and trouble makers, and down right rude flight attendant hopefuls during hiring process because a lot of new hires have very poor customer service skills.

I have been working at Mesa Air full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

For those looking to be a flight attendant and don't know where to start or if you'll even like it look up Mesa they're almost always hiring because most use it as a stepping stone to major airlines. There is a lot of flexibility you don't stay on reserve at this time for more than 8-9months and you end up living in the base you want almost immediately. It's a small family type company so you get to know people well... and so you can form more of an intimate bond, you can also enjoy working with same crews more often, and above all swap trips or drop trips with co-workers because there's usually enough flight attendants they keep on reserve to allow this wonderful perk if you don't need to work as much and/or want to take advantagr of UA and AA brnefits and travel!

    Cons

Pay is relatively low compared to other airlines but it is a regional so smaller and fewer aircrafts are flown. It is a contracted company with AA and UA so we do not have buddy passes at this time and our status to travel on UA and AA for leisure as a non-rev is below those who are employed with mainline airlines or the regionals wholly owned by AA such as Envoy PSA and Piedmont

I have been working at Mesa Air full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of my immediate coworkers are great, best part of Mesa. Immediate management is mixed, a few really good ones. Gain experience (and move elsewhere) PHX isn't bad to live in. Not the lowest pay in the industry Right by the airport

    Cons

Training is inadequate (trainer over worked and needs more time allowed for classes) IT sucks. Systems are always down. Or computer programs crash, computers are slow for the software we need, most of the computer displays are old and hard to see in the daylight. Pay is low and turn over is high. Workload is high Always new people and lack of knowledge/dumb mistakes (it gets frustrating)

    Advice to Management

Improve the pay and employee/talamt retention a bit. Improve the training, give trainer more time maybe add a trainer too. Get rid of office politics that come off as the company not caring for their employees
