Amazing organisation to learn and grow
9 Nov 2020 - Director in MumbaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
What makes Mirum stand out form the rest is the people... and every employee feels like they are part of a larger family. The company offers avenues for employees to explore new opportunities within the organisation. Mirum has a robust training program for employees to aid them in their growth and hone their skills further.
Cons
The company is a little low on the office amenities as compared to other agencies of the same stature, but a proactive HR and senior management makes up for the deficit.

Den of mismanagement & politics (SG)
24 Jan 2019 - An Honest Employee in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There were some fantastic resources, location is close to Newton MRT
Cons
They have no clue want they plan to do. The politics played by senior management has led to the decline in the fortunes of this organisation. I think there is a sabotage at play in the organisation. They laid off the entire tech team without even thinking if there will be an impact on deliverables or probably they might have thought of it but they just wanted to kill the company. Roles and responsibilities are not defined and hence they are on constant lookout for a scapegoat if things go bad Most of the honest and talented ppl have either left the firm or have been kicked out to satisfy egos of certain dumb individuals

Worst phase of my career.

You will work on various projects. Competitive pay considering the other agencies.
Cons
Very toxic environment and the team have zero passion for work; everyone is trying to meet their deadlines. Senior management fire employees whenever a client is not satisfied with the project outcome, there's no chance to learn from mistakes. No life work balance, I was asked various times to work on the weekends on late hours. Sometimes you will have to come up with solutions in 2 hours due to agency horrible project planning. There is no obvious process in the agency. The primary goal is to meet crazy clients deadline without research or understanding the problem before moving to solution phase. The team is friendly but with minimal work experience since skilled professionals don't find the agency a suitable place for growing.

7 Jul 2020 - Software Engineer in BudapestRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Applies to Budapest only: Some interesting and cool project to the biggest companies, Budapest quite seperated from the parent company, fancy lounge in the office, friendly colleagues, awesome coffee, bilingual environment, enjoyable team events
Cons
Applies to Budapest only: Non-transparent senior management decisions, vague and turbulent higher level goals, lack of feedback to the colleagues, focus on short term financil achievements only, senior management does not know much about the employees, projects are uninteresting and the same nowadays, unclear hierarchy, office is far away from city centre

Run Away If You're Not In Tech/Creative

Nice co-workers, killer office location next to Petco Park, good benefits
Cons
I want to start this review off by clarifying that Digitaria's bread and butter is web development and design. So pending on the position you're in within the company... you will have a drastically different experience. My impression is that if you are in tech development, QA or the creative department-- you may be OK pending on your accounts/supervisors. If you are in strategy, planning, account, project management, analytics, or sales- it's a different story. Digitaria is trying HARD to build out their strategy offerings, but they're struggling and it's failing. They're unwilling to scope strategy projects differently from the way they scope development/design. (even though the offerings are two completely different things). It causes horrible inefficiencies which affects several departments. Because Digitaria runs like a web dev/design company-- naturally, all the work here is project based. Very very very few retained clients in which you can build a relationship with and build upon. I wish somebody had told me that when I was interviewing so I knew the projects they were hiring me for wouldn't be around for long. This is largely due to the fact that they charge insane prices by placing high pads on projects and charging upwards of $200/hr for a mid-level resource. They're just not structured to partner with clients long-term. Don't come to this agency if you want to work on cutting-edge, smart stuff. It's basically a production company for JWT now, for projects JWT wants to outsource (that means you have two clients: JWT, and the ACTUAL client who doesn't understand their work is getting outsourced in the first place). This is across the board from development, creative, and through to strategy teams. Honestly, all the clients that Digitaria says they work with on the website are from five years ago, or a very tiny piece of the current client-base. It's not innovative stuff anymore. Look closely at agency case studies and you'll be able to spot it. Lastly, across the board no matter the department, I can confidently say: work-life balance is absolutely horrific. If you're billable (which is all senior management cares about), you'll typically spend well beyond the hours that you were originally scoped. If you're not billable, you'll be in fear for your job and placed on projects you're not qualified for (or have an interest in working on) simply because you have availability. New business pitches (which the company proudly pursues whether or not they are truly valid opportunities), are not billable. So you'll be expected to work tirelessly on them in addition your billable work. Again, if you're NOT billable, you still can't count time spent on new business towards your day, so it looks like you're not busy on paper... and you'll be in fear for your job. It's a constant struggle. Mostly everyone I know at Digitaria doesn't plan to be working here one year from now. Do yourself a favor and don't be tricked by their "client roster" and sweet office view-- find another opportunity.
