    I have been working at Mixpanel full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Product has been on an amazing path in the last 2 years. VP of Product and EPD team deeply care about building the best product analytics platform in the world. - GTM has needed work and changed every year to try to maximize LTV/CAC. The work is not done but focus on right segments is clearly visible. Execution will take time and a lot of discipline and effort.

    Cons

    - Marketing could be more focused on thought leadership and adding value to our end customers to do their own jobs better instead of focus on generating "leads". I can see a recent shift and hope it stays.

    Pros

    Great Product that really does help companies improve their business. Free lunch, wellness benefits, great office, health insurance etc.

    Cons

    No structure in the sales org. and terrible GTM strategy in comparison to competitors. Culture in the NY office is horrible. No possibility for internal growth.

    Pros

    -Ownership over many projects: as a relatively young worker, I got lots of responsibility, including project and people management. I really appreciated the opportunity to take on new challenges.

    Cons

    -Lack of support resources: As a new manager, there were not many resources available to help us improve our people management skills. Upper management tended to focus on project execution, but direct reports cared about people management and mentorship.

    Pros

    Really smart & driven people fostering a data-driven culture, free bfast/lunch/dinner each day, flexible PTO and a wellness stipend each month, semi-flexible work hours (wfh every once in awhile, come in late, etc.), growing internationally, fast rate of innovation on product side, great to place to kick off your sales career, keeps sales team updated on methodologies, high cross-functional team collaboration, supportive and diligent HR department, huge focus on diversity and inclusion

    Cons

    Minimal training (2 weeks) for new hires (totally on you to get fully on-boarded), reliance on Sales team to demo product for small deals (which is quite technical) without concrete ongoing support, difficult to work abroad if based in US, inexperienced management - many are new and do not have access to formal trainings/resources, HIGH churn each year especially on sales side, a sense of "cliqueness"in NY/SF offices, recognition great for sales team but marketing/support/professional services teams hardly ever recognized, lots of constant stress put on management which causes a silenced, hostile environment for everyone, OBSESSED with 1 competitor

    - Smart and humble people that make this company great - Real transparency - Valuable product that's constantly improving - Growth trajectory and impressive wins with logos that validate huge market demand - Constantly changing (mostly for the better) and willing to learn from mistakes - Talented leaders who genuinely care

    - Changes can be jarring and can do better communicating at times - We're a big startup and sometimes changes are made as if we're a small startup - Some managers are still learning to lead - Even though we have great transparency at company level, it's hard to keep up with what's happening with other teams

    Pros

    Really great team and culture. Very open and collaborative. Everyone supports each other. A world class product that is best in class in the product analytics space and improving daily, with an amazing product, engineering and design team in the US that are shipping game changing features weekly. Clients that absolutely love and evangelise the product. Excellent benefits from Cigna healthcare, generous paid time off, volunteer and charity days, nice offices, competitive salaries, global sales kick off.

    Cons

    Competitive market place so those in sales have to be hyper resilient and super competitive. Remote office so can be challenging to feel connected to the global business. Very technical product so the learning curve is steep.

    Many good and nice colleagues

    Cons

    Management provided bad directions and gave local team the unfair advantage. Too many favoritism. CEO was great anyway. Just middle management needs to change.

    Pros

    I am having a hard time thinking of any pros.

    Cons

    Everything. This was by far the work experience I've had in my career. The pay was not competitive, management lied to you about career advancements... I could go on but will just offer the advice to just continue your job search and pass on Mixpanel.

    Pros

    Free lunch, a lot of snacks, no rules of engagement you can close any deal you want as long as you are friends with a main manager, easy layups if you are friends with your manager, easy upsells due to lack of support you can upsell a “better” support package which really means getting support to answer within a week instead of 3 weeks.

    Cons

    Overall it’s a toxic environment that is overly obsessed with their competitor. I feel that the CEO (who has had multiple C titles in the past few years) is blinded by money/revenue and can’t see the toxic culture of the company. If you do not agree with him you will probably be gone in a few months (look at change in management constantly). Managers will help their friends and if you aren’t a friend you will probably be gone in a few months. The “friends” reps change billing addresses and get away with it. The ceo turns a blind eye to the cheating for the sole purpose of revenue. You won’t grow here. Just stay stagnant and collect paychecks.
