I worked at Morgan McKinley full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great for graduates, positive environment on some teams. Good exposure to clients, very little business development which gives the opportunity to achieve success quickly. Upbeat social environment and great parties

    Cons

Abnormally high turnover from senior management down to the bottom. Growth plans are high yet the core of their business gets lost in the process. Company politics are the biggest problem, promotions are handed out loosely and reactively, often when consultants are not capable and cannot handle the pressure put on them by directors. Consultants and senior management disappear on leave and don’t return with unclear... explanations creating a serious lack of transparency and fear of instability. A lot of faith put into new management which has resulted in almost whole teams being wiped out within a year.

    Advice to Management

Address the turnover, identity problems between consultants and management quicker and more openly. Spend less money on renting out expensive venues and focus those resources on retaining consultants and training those in management.

I worked at Morgan McKinley full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Weekday only, helped to give me the experience for administration

    Cons

Monthly pay, bad management, awful working environment, area manager didn't care. I worked in one of their sites near cork city, high turnover of staff due to bad management

    Advice to Management

Look after your staff better and you wouldn't have such a high turn around.

I have been working at Morgan McKinley full-time

    Pros

    Good location in the city

    Cons

Everything. Company has no idea how to execute any growth plans. Since Jan this year has had at least 2 people leaving on a weekly basis. Never seen such high turnover. Horrible culture. Managers have no idea. A good HR team would have a field day if they saw and heard some of the problems on the floor. Avoid at all costs. This company will have you wanting to kill yourself every night.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Morgan McKinley full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people here are the reason I stayed for the few months that I did. Its the culture that keeps people interested. Everyone was so helpful and its a great brand to have on your cv

    Cons

The wrong people are being put in leadership roles. There is a real culture of micromanagement. Managers feel pressurized and are afraid of performance issues or high turnover so they control their team. Any issues raised are brushed under the carpet and this is why people leave.

    Advice to Management

Seriously consider who you promote to management level. Ensure that they are leaders and know how to motivate their staff not push them away

I worked at Morgan McKinley full-time

    Pros

Position of the office in Central London, decent salary

    Cons

High turnover. The working hours can be very long. There is discrimination towards not English native speakers and racism. The Managers pretend they are nice to you, but then talk at your back.

    Advice to Management

Be open and honest and do not hide behind nice words.

I worked at Morgan McKinley for less than a year

    Pros

Good commission structure and training scheme, great people to work with and good central London based offices. Overall decent company benefits too.

    Cons

Salary is often not in line with market benchmarks. Can be very long hours. Very high turnover amongst staff and not enough consistency across the business.

    Advice to Management

Take time to make sure business decisions are in line across all parts of the business. Do more to show loyalty to staff.
