Former Intern - Software Engineering Intern

I worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

    Pros

The internship experience was amazing, and I got to take on projects I was thoroughly interested in. The social/external events were great too, especially the lab tours and seminars open to all employees.

    Cons

The laboratory has a lot of employees, so the scope of the intern project(s) may be limited.

I worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory for less than a year

    Pros

    - My time there was overall great - Amazing projects - Amazing team and staff - A lot of flexibility and freedom projects

    Cons

    - Full time employees, while very nice, took advantage of the relaxed work environment so is not as high functioning as it appears on the outside - Very difficult to go full-time. Was told there are too many high caliper interns and so few jobs and that I didn't really have a chance - I imagine there is high intern turnover rate, which makes sense since the lab is over crowded. But a lot of talent is missed out on because of that - Never got to know management
