    Fun atmosphere full of people driving hard for a mission.

    Cons

    My mentor was great, but if you have a bad mentor, it is a bit tough to get help from others who are not your mentor.

    Pros

    Got to work with various JPL teams on real projects. Received equal responsibility as full time employees. Free to pursue own projects as well

    Cons

    Government work: so there can be a lot of "roadblocks" when working on projects

    Smart people and extremely interesting projects. You will get to work on the future of space exploration.

    Cons

    Pay isn't great and housing is both expensive and difficult to find for interns.

    Very talented and interesting colleagues. Exciting problems. Great Location(Pasadena California)

    Must be a US Citizen in most situations. Low pay for a software engineering internship.
