Pros

Maybe the free food on their "NIB Wellness" or whatever they call it

Cons

I was reading all other reviews and yes, they are true. I was there when they did this Family Feud employee activity, and I did witnessed how the CPO made fun of the people that were (mandatory) participating. The people I was sharing the table with were even depriving the urge to go to the bathroom because the way they set up the stage made her easy to see who could leave the activity, and she had the microphone. So you can imagine the fear these people have of her. That's just an example. There are folks that have more than 30 years working for that company, but that because they were there even before she had that important role as the CPO (that is an invented title, no other company has something like that). Nobody likes to be micro managed, be prepared to be if you get hired... Lots of office politics... There are way a lot of better companies out there. Keep looking.

Pros

I love what I did, I took pride in my work. Alot of little perks. I climbed the corporate ladder rather fast. I gained some lifelong friendships. When I started there, I sincerely believed I would retire from the company.

Cons

All the prior reviews about fear, dishonesty, favoritism, non-ethical behaviors toxic culture are valid but have evolved over the past 7-8 years basically as soon as the self-titled, self-righteous CPO dug her claws into every facet of that organization. The reason people stay $$ and benefits plain and simple...but how long will you sell your soul to the devil? Sooner or later it ends one of 2 ways: you decide life is too short to work day after day with micro-managing and ridiculous ever changing political policies...OR...you attempt to keep your head down and work hard until one day you wear the wrong attire, you challenge a new procedure, you vent to the wrong person, you apply for an internal position that already had a chosen candidate before the posting was even created and you are discarded. Most people never really know exactly what the last straw was...you suspect but 99% are under false allegations you have no ability to protest. So you take the long escorted walk to the front lobby. Get stripped of all corporate accessories and pray that you get your personal possessions back that made your desk a tolerable place in an ugly environment.

Pros

Amazingly they make money. Nice facilities. Some excellent middle management people. Once had an excellent reputation and was viewed as a good place to work.

Cons

I worked at NIBCO for several years. Pre-CPO, this was a great company. Stable competent workforce and management, good benefits, good products, and I felt I was part of the team. Post-CPO, a complete disaster! Lengthy wage freezes, continual slashing of benefits and increased cost passed to employees, and when you seek medical care you have to pay an extremely high co-pay and then hope and pray that the insurance may cover something--benefits not consistent for each visit or for every employee. When you ask HR for help, you always get the same response; "Obviously the doctor didn't code it right". Many times the charge for the office visit is LESS than the co-pay; NIBCO has highest co-pay in Elkhart County. Not much opportunity for advancement if you are a male. Interesting only male workers at a director's level or higher have offices, but females at lower positions are assigned offices. Very sexist atmosphere. The extremely competent workforce have fled and been replaced by inexperience people who have good intentions but have no guidance or direction. The turnover rate is unbelievable. I will stop here as you can read the other reviews.
