If you want to build, improve or change things. It's so slow it makes work seem fruitless at times.

Pushes you to hone customer-facing and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrate punctuality and product/company knowledge.

It gets very hectic on some busy days, and the work environment is controlled by the collective mood of all the employees working that day.

Good pay and culture but terrible management
25 Oct 2021 - Retail Sales AssociateRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- pay - coworkers - easy and chill
Cons
- little training - super hypocritical brand - management would schedule me shifts last minute without letting me know - when I resigned, my manager just went: "I get it. I just gave my boss my two week's notice as well." bloody hilarious but paints a good picture about how sad the work environment is.

get in, get what you need, get out
6 Sept 2021 - Energy Marketing ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Fast, based, with opportunities to be highly creative.
Cons
Hyper-masculine environment -- very competitive, overly political, not solutions oriented. Whilst an exciting and fast paced environment, overall an unfulfilling place to work. The hours are long, and you are sucked into the "we are a family" mindset to justify overtime, and poor salaries. I believe there is some cultural shift, but there was a significant toxic male work environment which made being a female employee exhausting.

Great Environment to Work in and Room for Growth With Determination
27 Dec 2020 - Sales Associate in Lake Delton, WIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Fun and easy work environment, with great discounts and even better sportswear apparel, etc... Good management (store dependent). While Nike is very competitive- there is room for growth within the company, if associate shows visible displays of determination, leadership skills, good attendance, and most importantly if they take initiative for their needs, wants, and goals themselves
Cons
Hours could be better (but that’s retail), pay is decent-ish for retail (again, growth opportunities make up for it), coworkers from store-to-store vary, they’re mostly good but many are there just for the discount - brings down the overall work ethic of the store, regardless of being part-time or full-time new hires need to have a minimum of 36 hrs of availability regardless of how many hrs a person ideally wants in a week, unfortunately...
