I have been working at NV Energy full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Options to work from home - Great office locations and people to work with - Hires within often - Multiple opportunities for growth

    Cons

    - Work/Life balance is in the toilet! Especially while the company is going through the current trend of 'flattening' the organization. - Lack of retention of long-term employees before exit. Leave intellectual holes.

    Advice to Management

    - Employee development is overdue. Especially when one is moved into a Management position.

I worked at NV Energy full-time

    Pros

Benefits, Pay (if you have at least 2 yrs of call center experience)

    Cons

6 minutes or less. I'm sure that NVEnergy's customer base would love to know that the supervisors on the 4th floor of the Vegas office demand and require the agents to service the call and move on to the next in 6 minutes or less. This is does not factor in consumer awareness or understanding, the need to clarify information, language barriers, social barriers, cognitive barriers, or anything else that would remove...

    Advice to Management

Stop. Just stop treating your people like they're robots. They are human. And I would venture to guess that if the CEO took a poll from the customer base, he and the Vice President would go into shock to see that customers would rather have someone pleasant and friendly on the phone willing to help out and listen to their needs than a rude, robotic, wham bam thank you maam agent with zero humanity. I have been working at NV Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you work hard they will continue to give you work. They are trying to be Nevada's best workplace by buying us stuff.

    Cons

A LOT of workers are there just to collect a paycheck and nobody cares. No structure and very few management care. Emphasis on that's the way it's been done and it's how it will be done

    Advice to Management

Manage the company like you would run a business. You can become Nevada's best workplace by valuing your employees not by buying them off.
