Good foot in the door experience
Cons
Super toxic culture, no one is happy or secure
- Former Intern, less than 1 year★★★★★
Intern experience
7 Oct 2014 - Anonymous Intern in Washington, DCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
My boss at the time was great. The workload was feasible and there was great communication. I would recommend interning there although I warn you that unless you do communications or research you won't be doing anything rather difficult. There are great opportunities to network. You just can't be shy like I was.
Cons
CEO was a nightmare. She was only there for a brief period as most of her co-workers hated her and she could never keep an assistant. She thought as an intern I was there to get her lunch when I didn't even work with her nor was I in her department. Other than that there were no cons.

Decent place to work, no real commitment
7 Mar 2018 - Associate in Washington, DCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good supervisor, work/life balance, opportunities for growth
Cons
Terrible CEO, limited support for projects, junior staff treated poorly and not as valued as senior staff.

Pros
Friendly Atmosphere, Free Lunch, great co-works, company willing to accommodate the needs of their employees(within reason).
Cons
The traffic on 7 is a pain to deal with.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Wonderfully supportive staff, meaningful projects, great networking
Cons
Very few cons, DC is expensive so difficult to find and afford housing on intern salary.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Interesting work and great member organizations.
Cons
There's a reason why there is a mass exodus of staff following the start of the new CEO.
