I have been working at Navigant full-time

      Pros

Review is for Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets (BICM) -Leadership has made an effort to hire very smart people and has been successful -Everyone at the Associate Director level on down is easy to get along with -Hours aren't ridiculously bad -Decent office space at 685 Third Ave.

      Cons

Review is for Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets (BICM) -Below market pay -Management hasn't been able to branch into the many areas beyond housing finance -Has to compete with Global Investigations and Compliance (GIC) for budget

      Advice to Management

Review is for Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets (BICM) -Focus on tapping the knowledge of Senior Consultants and Consultants for innovation, such as understanding the role fintech will play in finance in the coming years -Up the pay for Senior and Managing Consultants--it's below market. And increase the number of vacation days, they are meager -Promote more quickly. Time-in-role is for the Big Four

I have been working at Navigant full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Really smart people, about half of whom are taking a pay cut to work on interesting projects and have a good work-life balance. These people are great to work with, smart, driven, and similar to those you'd see at another management consultancy.

      Cons

Pay is low compared to peer companies, low level employees are only incentivised to meet utilization targets, not do great work.

      Advice to Management

Restructure employee evaluation process. Provide more opportunities to do meaningful non billable work, and recognize good non billable work.
