Pros
They'll hire literally anyone so it's a good way to get your foot into the door.
Cons
Pay is awful, significantly lower than comparable jobs in the area. Nexient will hire anyone with a pulse, not train them, and then act surprised when their employees aren't performing to clients needs. Upper management is completely disconnected from reality and don't have a clue what their devs need or what their clients want and expect: I can recall multiple situations where management flat-out lied to the client I worked for. If management promises something but it's not in writing, it's not going to happen.

Pros
The culture is great. Leadership is generous on company events to support employees and boost morale. An employee had an unfortunate event. There was a generous donation to help. Everyone helps you and are not heartless if you struggle a little or have questions. You have a coach to help your professionalism or to let out steam from a frustrating client. I return to avoid toxic culture at bigger companies. Things are warmer here. Not perfect but a lot better than my past.
Cons
The clients. Many are great but not all. That is life. Just like you may not enjoy some managers and some you love. They can pay well for some and others they may pay a tad lower. To be paid well it is a combination of skills, experience, performance, your negotiation talent.

Pros
Great leaders Transparency Good culture Opportunity for learning Decent health benefits Currently covid-conscious and lets local employees work remote.
Cons
Will not keep you on the bench if you are a true remote employee - you will be terminated if you are not on a project (even in times of covid) Poor 401k match (1%) Pay is ok but you can easily make more elsewhere

Pros
I've worked at Nexient for a long time. I love it here. I've been on many projects over the years and while they are all unique and come with their own challenges, you have the ability to learn so much from so many different technologies. Nexient is great at: -Work life balance (super important to me) -Flexible schedule -Ability to cross train if you are interested -Relaxed atmosphere -Senior Leadership team that goes out of its way to listen to the employees -When you're not assigned to a client you are on the bench getting paid to learn or help with internal projects -Career coaching program so you are always connected to a leader that helps you as you progress through your career -The opportunity to be exposed to several different clients over your time here. Generally you're not stuck on the same project doing the same type of work for years at a time. If you don't like the particular technology you're working on, the company will work with you to switch if there is a need. -EXCELLENT handling of COVID pandemic - (No layoffs even though we lost project slots although mid-year raises were pushed back 1 month. Personally that's a price I'm ok paying if we keep everyone in the company employed) -There is now a 401k match. That used to be the largest complaint, but they've rectified that. It's pretty low right now but the business is growing and I see it going up in the future.
Cons
-Compensation is lower than other opportunities at the same level. I'm confident I could leave Nexient and get more money and maybe better benefits. Personally all the pros outweigh this con.
