    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible Schedule, people, steady secure work

    Cons

Type of people who often get promoted are often non-performers unless spotlight is on them, performance is not rewarded, Diversity and Inclusion is very poor, not a lot of camaraderie outside of regular work activities

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to solve problems by assuming you are in touch with people. Management is so disengaged and out of touch with what people are having issues with

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Top level of company is committed to continuous improvement. Focus on ethical behavior and business decisions trumps short term thinking. Opportunities for those who perform and willing to work hard. Lots of ways employees can be heard all the way to the top. Contributions to global security are more than most know. Significant portion is restricted and not discussed in the public. The work is amazing stuff.

    Cons

Pockets of old school cultures remain a large sites. Some terminal rank middle Managment needs to just leave. Opportunities are limited at smaller sites.

    Advice to Management

You are on the right track. Keep working on removing that clay layer of ineffective middle management.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great work environment. They afford employees opportunities to increase their responsibilities and and to advance within their departments.

    Cons

Advancement outside of original departments is limited.

    Advice to Management

Seek out those who have drive rather than relying on managers input for advancement outside of their department. Managers are unwilling to lose proven or customer desired employees. This creates stagnation and the belief an employee must leave the company to expand their skill set.
