I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Huge company creates the ability to change jobs and job fields many times and never have to leave company. Encourages work life balance, embraces knowledge growth and sharing, excellent benefits.

    Cons

Huge company causes lack of individual contribution acknowledgement, lack if ability to address personnel issues and problem people aren't gotten rid of or corrected in a timely manner.

    Advice to Management

Require ongoing manager training (all levels). Disconnects and disfunction happen when people are put in Management roles that have no or poor people skills. Incentivise good managers, reassign poor ones. Insider threat, mistakes, poor work product quality, high employee turnover, is much more likely in poorly managed organizations.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The technical work is challenging, but Northrop supports you with all the software you need to accomplish goals. Support of engineers is quite good. Very good pay. Benefits are industry average.

    Cons

Technical services division takes some getting used to. You are a federal contractor, so that designation comes with odd work situations. It is a good place to meet and get connected to government agencies. Use it to get to a better job though.

    Advice to Management

The main location feels like a cube farm. Is there any way to remedy this?
