I worked at Northstar Travel Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked in the IT department - Team was very friendly and helpful. - Boss was very open and supportive. - Good work/life balance. - Team was properly staffed so the workload wasn't too much.

    Cons

Didn't pay enough attention to other facets of the company to know any cons. I was too busy thinking about computers.

I have been working at Northstar Travel Group full-time

    Pros

Has all the security of corporate (benefits, structure, etc.), there's some amazing culture and people here, lots of ability to travel

    Cons

Internally there are lots of changes happening all the time which can be good but there are long stretches of chaos while a change settles. New departments are understaffed and lack support.

I have been working at Northstar Travel Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Northstar is full of great employees who work hard to help the business succeed. There is generally positive morale as the traditional business has been transformed.

    Cons

There is a lot of pressure on hitting goals with not a lot of support. The market has become much more competitive and pausing to reinvent is dismissed, and the focus on sell harder.

I have been working at Northstar Travel Group

    Pros

Flexible atmosphere, focused on creating the best products instead of micromanaging the process. Hard work is recognized and rewarded. Suggestions are welcomed and implemented.

    Cons

Different brands under the NTG umbrella have different needs/values so needs and goals aren't always cohesive but good communication between management and staff often makes this a non-issue.
