I worked at Nuance full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good Benefits, average salary, ability to work from home

    Cons

I really can't say anything bad, that doesn't affect most larger companies, over the top paperwork requiring entry in multiple systems, very little continuity between systems making it a slow ponderous process, way too many unpaid hours.

    Advice to Management

It seems like each department/Manager has his own criteria, Reports, and logs, Its time for you to clean it up and consolidate.

I have been working at Nuance full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Working from home allows for good work/life Flexibility. Benefits.

    Cons

Reactive. Terrible communication. No employee empowerment. Management can not manage staff or operations to support staff as they are fully occupied by responding to requests from their own managers, usually for rehashing data (because there is no central forecasting database) . No transparency.

    Advice to Management

Focus on operations improvement, involve existing staff who already know what doesn't work instead of creating non-relevant processes from on-high without vetting or testing that ultimately are not communicated, have no recourse for asking questions, are not documented and as such inevitably fail to achieve expectation. As there is no opportunity for feedback or improvement to any processes or initiatives, inevitably...

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Nuance full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The employees that do so much with what little they are equipped with to be successful. Pay is slightly above market average.

    Cons

If you care about personal growth or development, this is definitely not the place for you. Poor employee satisfaction and high turnover rate. This company could care less about developing its employees. No vision and clearly lacking in the ability to innovate.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of Paul Ricci and all of his henchman.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Nuance full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Very flexible and accommodating (time-off, time you come in or leave, etc.). Good benefits for high performers. Opportunities to grow and switch roles.

    Cons

Not enough resources so the workload is very heavy. Getting approval for simple things ends up taking forever due to the process being so complex (typical of large companies). Salaries are under market average.
