RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts for less than a year
Pros
The Oberoi Group of Hotels is an ideal platform for beginners to learn the operational aspects of the hospitality industry. I had the opportunity of undergoing a 6-month industrial training program at the Oberoi New Delhi. This industrial exposure was a part of my MBA as it covered the four major departments, namely, Front Office, Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping Operations, and the Kitchen, respectively. There exists a healthy work culture as my seniors and colleagues were very supportive. An industrial trainee is given an exposure in an operational environment to interact with guests and, thus, handle guest related queries. I, therefore, managed to grasp as much as I could during my stint in this property.
Cons
Despite the positive aspects of my training, the only negative point is the time-frame for such industrial attachment programs as one or two months in a given operational department is not sufficient. Thus, a longer time-frame is required to gain a more in-depth insight into the core departments.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
If you are an executive or above, the pay is great. Job security is very good. Guest centricity is top notch.
Cons
Archaic, terribly slow to adapt, has all the givings of the model Indian family run company, encourages and thrives on a work culture that treats entry level employees like slaves, the higher up on the hierarchy you are the more arm twisting you're entitled to.
