I worked at Office Concierge full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

No stress, good companies they work with

    Cons

No career growth opportunities, bad management

    Advice to Management

In the beginning this company promise a lot, but none of that happens. It really depends what company you will work for, but as a elite you don't have the chance to build a career or even to find a permanent place.

I worked at Office Concierge full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - You get to go to some sites which are great - You get to meet new people - If you're a static it is great, as you get to stay in one site, actually have a relationship with the clients etc.

    Cons

    - In the interview, I was told I would be informed the day before (before 5pm) where I would be going the next day. In the beginning, this was true, however, further down the line, they would call me at 8am and tell me to be at a site within the next 30 minutes? Make it make sense. There were times when I would be on my way to a site, then they would call and tell me to go elsewhere... - Pay was/is 21,500. Reasonable....

    - You get to work in some amazing buildings and companies (am based solely on one site), a lot of my colleagues ended up going into some great office based roles - Get on really well with my team and the tenants - A decent salary - Will take you seriously during recruitment stage even if you had no previous experience working on a reception, for example retail and beauty industry - Liked my uniform - was a nice,...

    Cons

    - You have to give a 6 week notice for holiday and it is sometimes difficult to get approved - Having to call in 6am when you sick - Might be more exciting to get to do more office based tasks, can be some slow days

Work on progressing more staff skills and give beneficial workshops

I have been working at Office Concierge full-time

    Pros

Good platform and experience for progression in corporate world. Uniform and dry cleaning voucher provided. Nice HQ and other receptionist you meet are usually lovely.

    Cons

Do not tolerate absence for genuine sick leave/Doctor appt and pressure you into returning to work. The company will throw you under the bus to building management to cover up their own mistakes which is disheartening. As a static receptionist you witness how Elite receptionists are treated.

I have been working at Office Concierge full-time

      Pros

Some of their sites are nice and in great locations.

      Cons

HR Team are useless, they have no compassion, they are all 2 faced and will be so friendly to your face and pretend like they will help you and then go and then talk bad about you behind your back. Not just HR but 95% of the head office team are like this. they are all rude and NONE of them even care about the employees, they only care about the contract they have with the sites and they cant even seem to keep contracts...

      Advice to Management

You all need to fix up - I don't know how the company is still stable and i don't know who hires all of the management because clearly none of you know what you are doing - your all clueless with no compassion and maybe if you treated employees as humans and with respect you would get the same back.

      Pros

The salary is good and depending on where your based the team are friendly too

      Cons

account managers extend probation and misrepresent you when they fill in your "probation review forms". long hours in residential sites when its not need especially weekends as its not at all busy

      Advice to Management

always make sure you have a witness when your in meetings with them or you'll be labelled a liar even if your telling the truth.

        Former Employee - Elite Operative
        Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Office Concierge for more than 2 years

        Pros

You get to see parts of London if you're an 'Elite' operative

        Cons

        - You have to wear make up & heels, which is so backwards in this day & age. I have been actively told to wear more make up, which is insulting - If you're an Elite you're moved around so many times, sometimes more than once in a day, and you're expected to do everything perfectly even when, at times, you're sent to cover a site with no training.
