I worked at OfficeMax part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule and that's it. I have no other pros to state but glassdoor.com says I need at least 5 words.

    Cons

-Management was very pushy and does not have your back. -The pay is not equal to the amount of work they expect you to do -They fired their janitor to save on money and expect the cashiers and other employees (if cashiers are not available) to scrub and clean the bathrooms and other places. The bathrooms were always super filthy. The day shift usually leaves the bathroom cleaning and scrubbing etc for the closing crew. -Lack of training. They just throw employees in to the "sharks' -You are required to sign customers up for a rewards program that they teach you little about and then they scold and belittle you in front of the customers when you fail to do so -Very stressful at times with no confidence in management however management is quick to come out to talk to a customer after someone is happy with their services and they agree to fill out that customer survey that is on the receipt. Other than that, sometimes they are no where to be found and you have to call them multiple times while you are stuck dealing with an angry customer
