I have been working at Old Dominion Freight full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A job, that gives you a check

    Cons

No time for anything other than work, management will hype you up burn you out and move on to the next , all higher ups lie . They over hire/ layoff all the time. No job security unless your part of the cogdon family . No overtime until after 60 hrs a week and not allowed. Work all hoildays ......honestly. Worst expierence ever. Completely trashes your mental health and life .Use to be a great company grew too quickly and been down hill ever since .

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Old Dominion Freight full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Shifts are mostly between 7-9a and you'll probably be done with your last pickup at 6:30p (earlier at times depending on season), so you have plenty of family time. -Work week is Mon - Fri. -Plenty of family time -Management is very supportive (Depends on terminal; Mine was-Dracut terminal) -Great Benefits. Huge Plus here.

    Cons

-OT is rare... very rare -You only bid routes as a senior (for most drivers, this isn't particularly a negative) -Equipment could be better.
