Pros
You would explore many of your unhidden talents at oracle. work culture is good and your work is seen by all the people in the hierarchy
Cons
You would still confined to the inbuilt framework and thereby limited to outside technologies. as the framework is still under development, you would get very little help from outside.

Oracle has great products and technology. It is aggressive and fast growing company with reasonable growth opportunities.Company has flexible work culture.

Company doesn't believe in rewarding employees. You have to be lucky to get good pay increase. Bonus is always poor.

Pros
- The work culture is excellent (WFH/Leaves etc aren't a problem most of the times) - They do have some interesting work but you need to look for it and grab it. - No strict deadlines as such.
Cons
- Almost everything depends upon your manager there. If he isn't good, you can do nothing. - It's not (has never been) a "cool" company to work.

Pros
I feel supported at Oracle and like I'm given encouragement (if not incentive) for innovation in my field. The culture of entreprenurialism and innovation can be exciting and it's always nice to be able to say I work for Oracle - people may not know what we do, but that makes a good conversation starter!
Cons
Oracle is not the most progressive when it comes to salary increases - especially when promotions are involved. One Senior Executive is rumored to have said in response to a complaint from a direct report about not being compensated adequately, "Your resume is your compensation!"

Pros
Excellent culture preserved largely intact from Sun. Interesting and cutting edge work unparalleled in the hardware field.
Cons
Corporate communication is sparse. Executive management is relatively opaque in terms of corporate direction and their business and market strategy.
