I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - A wide spectrum of technologies - off course it depends on the team - Lot of options to learn - Free courses from LinkedIn learning, safari online, Oracle University.... etc - Unlimited work from home - Again, depending on the team. It was virtually unlimited on my team. - No micromanagement. Most pressure is absorbed by the manager itself.

    Cons

    - Low increment in salary. I joined two years back. Got salary incremented only once (for all members in the team), and that too in low single digits. - Sometimes, feels bored at office. May be because too many people works from home - No free meals. But coffee, biscuits, all cocacola products are free in pantry

I worked at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

One of the best reasons to work at Oracle is the work life balance. Working times are flexible and work from home is allowed as well. The second reason is the amazing work culture, with frequent team lunches and outings. The Bangalore office is amazing, with beautiful cubicles , several chill out areas and even a nap room.

    Cons

One of the major downsides of working at Oracle is the poor hike given to the employees. Even after working for 3 years, one may end up with just 4-5% hike. Secondly, they rely on old technologies.

I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Flexi timings - log in any time, log out any time Vacation and Leaves - no one asks you to fill if you missed Work from home - some people I know haven't come to office in the last 6 years High tech work - depends on your team and project, but it has been satisfactory so far

    Cons

No career growth - no promotion in the last 7 years No Salary growth - you don't get a hike ever year. If you do, it'd be in 3-5% range No appreciation - management is busy trying to save their jobs and selling products layoffs - almost 25000 ppl have been laid off in the last 5 years. Getting laid off is a always-on fear. Thankfully, old employees get a good remuneration when laid off No tax-saving benefits

I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent work-life balance, work from home option available, approachable and relatively more responsive HR

    Cons

Poor infrastructure, low salary, rife with office politics and an absolutely pathetic management, poor insurance policy. This is specifically for SSI (now OCSC). This place is appalling. Management is apathetic, there is no communication from them on anything related to the business. They're quite happy to ruin your career so long as their KPIs are met. Concerns are summarily rejected. Managers and supervisors are supported irrespective of their performance, so long as they're on good terms with their bosses. Needless to say, this structure will hold true for you regardless of your level in the hierarchy. Please do not make the mistake of joining anything related to Oracle Marketing Cloud if it's in SSI/OCSC. That business is headed straight into a ditch. Marketing cloud services itself is an exciting option, lots of good products that are constantly being improved upon, but there is simply no future in it while it's part of SSI as it is being very poorly managed. Limited opportunities to break out of your role, as the management would prefer messing around with your career aspirations to show what numbers they need on paper, rather than aiding in career growth. Not many opportunities for tech learning (projects exist, getting in and staying in are not easy, for it's largely dependent on the management's whim), though lots of material for product-learning is available easily. Overall an unprofessional and unhealthy work-culture, excruciatingly process-driven management and work, with limited scope for innovation or anything exciting at all, and frankly a waste of time if you're serious about learning and growth. Stay here too long and you will become an apathetic zombie yourself.

I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Domain wise good exposure 2. Uses most of the time oracle products 3. Good for Java and oracle database guys as most of the products are using these technologies 4. No delivery pressure as long as you have a valid justification 5. work from home facility but again it depends on your repo with your reporting manager 6. Top management mandates all products to get migrated to cloud-based technologies but implementation is slow.

    Cons

    1. Adoption of new technology or cutting edge technology(cloud/big data/machine learning etc) is slow 2. Better to bargain a good salary at the time of joining, later very less hike.
