    Being a PSU, you get to learn.

    Cons

    Bad is the salary structure (common at all PSU GI companies), Oriental Insurance lags behind among all 4 PSUs. Management too bad

    Lack of technological improvement in all verticals of business; People here are in no mood to work;Promotion is not based on performance

    Come up with new ideas; Conservative policies need to be given up. Company needs young energetic professionals

    great place to learn work
    even though being a government company they do very well and the senior management are always ready to help and assist you

    no cons
     worked for 5 months as an intern, in that time span couldn't find any flaws.

    Pros

    Initially, Insurance is new and vast but with time, one learns and picks up pace. Depends on city to city which kind of insurance products will one majorly deal in. Its a good organisation to start off and it pays well as compared to the banking sector.

    Cons

    The office will not have young crowd, senior colleagues are not in a mood to work. Managing peopld n getting work done out of them is tough.

    Advice to Management

    Recruit Young crowd that have enthusiasm to work

    Good company dont have much complains.staff was supportive and helpful.would advice to join if u get srlected

    No complains during my short stint at this bank.however would be advisable if they introduce merit based promotion mechanism
