      Pros

Great place to learn the ropes for inside sales, the ability to work as many hours as you'd like (got to love that over time), good salary and large earning potential after commission. Learn to love the grind, very nice office, fun work events, generous ramp up period for sales, easy to get promoted, phenomenal benefits, easy access to anyone all the way up to the CEO.

      Cons

Traffic in and out of downtown can be rough, work/life balance can be rough.

      Pros

Great place to get some experience in sales. They're committed to education and training. Management treats the employees fairly.

      Cons

Startup life is chaotic and not for everybody. Change is constant- scripts, strategies, employees and management.

      Pros

Great place to work with the new Management Team! My advice to anyone debating working at Outbound Engine is this, if you are willing to put the work in learning the script... you will go so far with this company! Management is here to help you and train you. Overall- Awesome group of people, energy, music playing, spiffs, snacks, catered lunch on Wednesday, benefits are covered, but most importantly the Director (Cody Frank) wants to help you grow.

      Cons

Only Con I can think of (for someone) would be it's more of a modern feel with the open desk concept.

      Pros

Too many pro's to count... but Ill try. First and foremost, the culture is excellent and diverse. People really enjoy coming to work and it shows. Everyone has a passion for what they are doing... which makes an ideal startup environment to work in. People here are smart... they think outside the box and challenge people around them to keep up. This is a typical startup environment... things move quickly... keep up or get left behind. OutboundEngine has great leadership... fantastic leadership... this is the reason that I joined the company. Along with the things I mentioned you will find things like free lunch, full insurance and great beni's, open environment, stocked kitchen, lots of company functions that include private concerts. Lastly, this company prefers to promote within... If you want to develop a career, this is a great place to do it!

      Cons

I don't have a lot of Cons... The only con I can think of is that the Inside Sales Group has had some turnover problems in the past. This has more to do with the fast growth that the group has undergone in the past year and giving some people a chance that couldnt quite cut it or were not a fit for that type of role. The leadership in this group is intense and passionate about succeeding... there is no where to hide in this company, much less this group. If you are looking for a 9 to 5 job, or a job that you can hide in and collect a check... look elsewhere, this is not the company nor the sales group to be in.

      All or Nothing

Apr 25, 2016 - Sales Associate in Austin, TX

      Pros

The company itself is fantastic and the executive staff are all approachable, intelligent, and humble guys. Company perks like happy hours, catered lunches, privately booked bands, etc are a huge part of the culture. The sales role is a great place for those who are suited for it. There are really great people to work with. Senior sales reps are more than willing to help, and will take personal time with you if you ask for it and are eager to learn. The top few in sales make a TON of money and management roles are absolutely in reach for those who quickly make a name here. The product is top in it's class and continues to improve as the sales reps get feedback from prospect wants and needs (That's right, you literally contribute to product development). PS. Every sales recruiter will want to poach you after you've been working here a while.

      Cons

These are not cons, this is just the cold hard truth. The sales role is sink or swim. No joke. You will not work 8-5 and succeed. Egos are guaranteed to be the first to quit or fail. The only way to be successful is to have this job consume you. What a lot of people have neglected to mention how unique and difficult the actual sale is (which is why so many "sales people" fail here.) This isn't your average tech sell where the product features get people to pull out their wallet. You need to dig DEEP on finding the prospects real pain. EVERY single day, you will make people uncomfortable, angry, and in some cases act flat out crazy. You're asking clueless and stubborn people to make a necessary change for their business. If you can't ask the tough questions confidently, call people out on their BS, or stand your ground when someone challenges you, then this is not for you at all. If you can come in with these skills and a willingness to learn, you will develop and come out tougher than ever.

Awesome work environment, great place for personal and professional growth. I don't think a single person has ever left OutboundEngine feeling less developed than when they entered. Highly recommend for individuals looking for a challenge

      Cons

High turnover rate, job can be stressful/repetition at times, commission structure is definitely attainable but not easy

      Pros

OutboundEngine is a great place to work. It has a great environment on the sales floor, and the overall culture of the company is fantastic. They do an awesome job at continuously having trainings to further develop your skills and the management actually cares about seeing you succeed and develop as a person.

      Cons

Sometimes there are certain situations with leads that aren't handled the correct way. It comes with a highly motivated individuals, however there needs to be a better structure with lead ownership and sticking to that process.
