    Positive Outlook

I have been working at PageGroup full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A highly positive and enterprenurial environment that gives you the opportunity to drive your own results. A very merit-oriented culture (versus the 'perception' based culture usually seen). Complete transparency in tasks and due credit, acknowledgement and rewards given for the same. A very motivated and competitive team, given that each ones success is acknowledged and well applauded by all team members. A very international culture and well planned training structure than enables new joiners to get on-board smoothly.

    Cons

Working hours could be long, however the day flies by.

I have been working at PageGroup full-time

    Pros

exposure - you get exposure top firms in various sectors of your region. it also helps you to understand their functionings in a much better manner. Networking - due to client/candidate interaction you end up establishing a great network with the top senior management at a lot of firms Salary - you are more than compensated for the hard work put in. even the bonus + addl benefits are rather great. money is not an issue for Michael Page employees work environment - its a pretty young, energetic group of employees. more than that, the environment is completely meritorious and it is easy to move up the ladder. anyone who is ambitious could do wonders for themselves at this place. even the company values are taken very seriously and incorporated in a lot of things.

    Cons

yes, the working hours are long. but once you figure out where you fit in the day just flies by before you know it.

I have been working at PageGroup full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Competitive environment and godo on-the-job training of how the industry works. Enough time is given to pick-up necessary skills & traits before results are expected. You are respected if you earn well. Immense brand value in the market and this allows you to reflect a good resume. Compensation is decent and allows you to more than just survive in the city. Great scope of growing up the ranks provided you are competent enough.

    Cons

Long working hours are not an issue since the environment is very open and you have people around you. The IT system could do with an upgradation.

I worked at PageGroup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are some really great Directors in the business to learn from, and their training is excellent as a start in recruitment.

    Cons

I cried every night when I got home because I hated working there so much. There are two types of people working there - the genuinely nice few who got sucked into the business and are probably searching for a way out, and their soul-sucking colleagues who will stab you in the back the moment they can if it means they'll earn an extra £100. Do not trust anyone here unless they are as visibly miserable working there as you are. It's super KPI heavy even monitoring how many hours per week you spend on the phone. If you haven't reached 6 hours on the phone by Thursday morning you're brought in for a one-to-one with your Manager. 6 hours may not sound like much, but it is when it's made up of a load of voicemails because candidates struggle to answer their phones during working hours (unless they're immediately available). I had 3 Managers in the 20 months I worked there which a Director apologised to me for when I left. Cold calling is very much part of the job (even if they tell you it's only a small amount in the interview!) - be prepared to be hung up on - a lot. Expect to have no life outside of work besides with your colleagues. You will be expected to work 8 am-7 pm (except on Fridays when you can leave 'early' at your contracted 5:30 pm). In the London office, they tend to go out for drinks together, and if you don't go you're seen to not be making an effort. The bonus structure is nowhere near as rewarding or motivating as a commission structure.
