      Pros

      Pariveda is a good place to grow your career over time with their transparent career path and strong mentorship model that helps you gain skills across a variety of scenarios. They value the individual both personally and professionally which has been a great quality, especially through this past year of ambiguous working conditions. Additionally, there are opportunities both in client work and internal initiatives to contribute to, share ideas for, and gain leadership and architectural skills from.

      Compensation for entry-level roles could be more competitive.

      Pros

      Very transparent with salaries and what is required to get promoted. Spend a considerable amount of time and effort into growing individual people in the areas they need to and want to grow in

      - Transparent communication from senior leadership about company decisions and growth - Transparent pay scale where no one gets paid more or less than you at your cohort level - Very structured career path with semi annual reviews and self assessments and annual eligibility for promotion - Ability to work on many different projects depending on your career growth needs - Great benefits including no health insurance premiums and cell phone plan - Great company culture even during Covid times, many opportunities to join groups to focus on what you are interested in - Your fellow coworkers care and support your personal career growth - Internal trainings as you move up cohort levels and external learning opportunities for those who want it

      - Starting salaries can be a little on the low side but the benefits and learning opportunities make up for it

      Pros

      - Transparent career path and salaries - Detailed feedback and semiannual reviews that make it very clear what your strengths are and what areas you need to work on in order to get promoted. - Great company culture - Everyone is really invested in supporting the growth of others and caring for the whole person. Empathy and emotional intelligence are highly valued. - I feel empowered to try new things and find ways to impact the firm both at the office and national level.

      Cons

      - This is not the place to work if you don't take constructive feedback well and aren't looking to continuously improve. You have to be willing to work on yourself and continuously develop your skills.

      Pros

      - Extremely transparent Transparency about salaries, promotions, diversity and inclusion, hiring, really anything you can think about - Transparency is consistent across all levels You know what any person in the company makes and there is excellent transparency from C level execs: CEO, CFO, CIO - The people This is a term that's often thrown around, but Pariveda really delivers here. Almost everyone that I've worked with has been top notch, extremely friendly, helpful, and honestly just generally good people. - Ability to grow The career path is one of the best benefits. I've grown both personally and professionally in huge strides, and both the culture and promotion process highly encourage it. This is not an overstatement, but I would have grown to be the person I am today without Pariveda. - Integrity of C level execs The way that COVID was handled was beyond impressive. The way that they handled both job security, economic downturn, remote work, and physical and mental safety cannot be understated. I'm extremely grateful to be working for the company especially right now. - Support of mental health There is a extreme level of support both in the HR department and in individuals that you talk to about mental health.

      Cons

      - Staffing misalignment Because staffing is done based on availability and skills mainly, there is a chance of being staffed on projects in locations that require longer commutes, in technologies that aren't your preference, or in positions that don't always align with your career path. - Imposture syndrome is extremely high in the company As I said before almost everyone you work with is stellar and this can be defined in many flexible ways - great delivery, great leader, great team player, etc. Unfortunately because of this stellar component, there is a very strong case of imposture syndrome that persists in the culture where you're not going above and beyond. - Toxic positivity especially in leadership There is often a culture of having a positive spin on tough situations and projects without the addressal of the problem and empathy of things are tough. Lots of leadership's first response is either to go into solving mode or to respond that it was a good learning opportunity which creates an environment where people feel like they're not heard. This also further amplifies the problem of the imposture syndrome.

      Pros

      - Focus is to develop people and everyone is given a mentor to help direct their growth - Opportunity for promotion every 6 months (with a minimum of 1 year at each level) - Minimal travel - Everyone is intelligent and willing to help out - Expectations framework is a good guide around what is expected of everyone to be promoted - Very open and transparent company that tries to communicate decisions down and leave space for others to ask questions and get the clarity they need. - Focus on being generalist allows for variety of work to be done

      Cons

      - Work life balance can be an issue. Typically depends on project or client, but expectation is more to get the job done than do 40 hrs and call it a day. Strategy projects tend to be worse in this regard. - Mentoring is a huge focus but tends to be an after-hours activity. This can stress the work life balance more or can get deferred. Typically, this falls into doing extra work after your main client work. - A by product of always growing those under you, your mentor could be new to the role and not very experienced in it. - Variations in offices can lead to different cultures or gaps in capabilities expected at different same level. - Majority of the people you interact with are those on your project - it can be challenging to meet others within the office if you do not share a project with them. - Generalist model and single career path could be a con if someone wants to be more of a specialist.

      Pros

      Growth, culture and transparency are three things that make Pariveda great. Pariveda has a very well-defined career path, and they work very hard to help you grow along that path. Semi-annual reviews are compiled based off of feedback from your peers and include areas of growth to focus on for the next cycle. The culture here is also excellent. People genuinely care about each other, both professionally and personally, and company-sponsored events such as happy hours and movie nights help foster that camaraderie. Transparency is also very important at Pariveda. Salaries are made public to everyone in the company, and there is no competition for promotions, both of which foster trust amongst us.

      Cons

      One of the downsides of consulting in general is that there tends to be a variety of work that you may not be particularly interested in or good at, and this is true at Pariveda as well. Another issue is that with only one career path, if that path isn't the path for you, then it can be difficult to grow and further your career at Pariveda.

      Pros

      Great people and supportive culture, work at the leading edge of business and tech, a clearly defined and transparent career path, local work

      Cons

      The learning model keeps you right at the edge of your comfort zone - as soon as you feel like you've really understood something, you get moved to an area where you are relatively new. This is overall a good thing for career development, but it can be challenging to re-orient yourself and see yourself as a lifelong learner instead of an expert specialist.
