Pros

Pays well if you only worked 40 hours a week, but the expectations make it necessary to work all weekend to complete notes.

Cons

Poor communication about expectations. Unrealistic expectations about number of patients that can be seen and the amount of administrative work they ask you to do without compensation. No support when the buildings try to interfere with our decision-making.

Pros

Remote, people we work with, on call doc 24/7 for concerns

Cons

PTO doesn’t exist for in person or virtual. Pay is a mess, you will never get correctly paid. Expect to fight every paycheck, it’s exhausting. A new pay structure was implemented and it’s a joke. There is no hourly base salary, so essentially during the day from 7a until 1a you only get paid for calls your chart and bill for. There are times where you may not receive a call or calls are non billable such as normal lab reviews. RVU model payout is laughable. Holidays are paid as $10/hr + calls billed. 1a-7a is $15/hr and weekends. Constant changes with no transparency. Ex: you log on and can’t find a tab in the EMR that you used to chart normal labs and then when asked- oh you weren’t supposed to use that tab ever. Yet all staff had been using it. Another email went out that we have a new fax company and to set up out account so we can view admission paperwork and labs….. no heads up. No one knew what it was about and this rolled out before the weekend. They gave 1 week notice that pay will be moved to monthly for everyone after the next paycheck in a week. Resignations are high for even in house providers. Retention rate is poor. Maybe 15/60 people have been here for 1year+. They mass hire people monthly and over half will quit within 3 months
