Pros
The socials, the environment and the culture. Te people in general is just amazing, the commission structure is quite nice (even though it can take longer than you expect to start making it) and the progression paths are realistic. Wouldn’t have changed it if I had the chance.
Cons
Sometimes your manager will get stressed out because his team is not hitting targets and blame it on you. It feels like a bit of a gossip house but what company doesn’t.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Phaidon International full-time for more than a year
Pros
Phaidon International is a platform that gives its employees great earning potential if you put the hard work in. You are given all the necessary resources and training to succeed, it's all up to the individual employee to then put in the hard work to reap the benefits. Phaidon also gives chances to fresh grads and particular candidates that most companies may not consider due to "lack of experience" Other Pros: - Strong work environment/culture and great leadership - Great earning potential and commission structure - Given all the necessary resources to succeed - Promote events outside of the office to build team rapport - Work/life balance is on par with most other performance/sales driven positions - Rewarding work, getting to help out others find new jobs - Meritocratic culture - Promotions and Raises based on performance meaning you can work your way up the ladder quick
Cons
Being honest, this role may not be for everyone, as stated above you are expected to work hard and somewhat aggressively in order to achieve your goals. If that is something you feel you're not prepared for then a role with Phaidon may not be appealing to you.

Neutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Phaidon International full-time for more than a year
Pros
It’s a good place for people who don’t want to think big picture and are fine with not thinking analytically about their work ever.
Cons
11 hour days, when you break down the base salary by how many hours you work you will realize how little your time is valued. Commission structure is not great.

Whilst we are saddened to hear that your experience with us was not as we expected, we appreciate your feedback. Across our business, we promote our vision and work to ensure all employees understand the role they have in our vision of solving the number one business challenge: talent. We recognize that our industry can involve long hours at times, however, we do continue to promote work/life balance within our culture – such as our Flexi Hours program which, as you may be aware, was launched following a successful ‘Shark Tank’ idea in our New York office. This is something which we are looking to expand further across our business. We do value the time of all employees and we are disappointed that this is not something that you experienced.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Phaidon International full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
- Great company culture. Competitive but supportive within brands - Unrivaled commission structure - Instant exposure to global businesses and senior candidates/ clients in the industry - Great incentive schemes; lunch clubs, summer holidays, vegas trip, rolex and weekly competitions within teams - Easily commutable within London
Cons
- Long work hours but if you want a job in the City, that is part of the deal - Starting salary isn't the best so starting out can be tough. Once you are up and running, the commission structure is so good that the base stops being as relevant

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Phaidon International full-time for more than a year
Pros
Decent commission structure, fast progression if you are successful. Personally I received support after a slow start. I was able to succeed and achieve personal goals. Pretty good incentives - lunch clubs, early leaves and so on - but almost all are/were focused around a drink culture. If it's not for you and you don't take part then there was no alternatives. Closing a deal is a great feeling.
Cons
As many have mentioned, work/life balance is practically impossible. I would come home knackered pretty much every day. There is an expectation to do "busy work", rather than achieve what is needed during the day and be happy with that. It causes burnout. Your experience is highly dependent on your direct management and team. I was lucky in that I had a good manager and team, but of those who started with me (20+ in a month during a growth surge) only two are now there. Make of that what you will. The L&D team were quite chaotic during my time there, but appeared to have got it together now. They were good, but it meant that they only had time for one-to-one sessions with people struggling, rather than putting on training courses for those of us who were seeking management positions.
