Polestar Shefield - Gone but not forgotten.
28 Jun 2016 - Operator in Sheffield, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great work mates and a good shift patten. Good level of wages Highly motivated and dedicated staff had pride in their work. We managed to produce high quality work, within deadline dispute lack of investment in maintenance quite often well over the machines intended speeds.
Cons
Lack of training from day one and the expectation to run at 110% all the time. Blame culture that started from the top but was magnified by middle managers. Good cammeraderie and a very 'can do' attitude. The best part of a company are the oeople and the shopfloor guys were great.
Cons
Too much in-fighting at senior level and the results were be all and end all which did not always reflect actuals. Senior management were ruled by fear which stifled originality.

Pros
The only pros were your colleagues who had a great work ethic and worked in a organised and businesses like manner in some very trying times.
Cons
The place was run like a circus. The Board were basically a set of crooks who weren't interested in print they were just interested in how much money they could squeeze out the business.
