I worked at Power Grid Corporation of India full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company provides a very congineal atmosphere to work in all spheres of Power Transmission and grid management. If you desire to work for your own satisfaction, then Powergrid is one of the best organizations to work with.

    Cons

The down side of the company is the discrimination in postings, work and promotions on the basis of cast, region, religion, the parent company you come from and what not. To get the promotions, you need to have the like in the company higher ups.

    Advice to Management

I was not promoted for about 12 years, despite the fact that I was considered one of the best executive in the region. I was assigned difficult jobs which others were unable to do. My advice to management is to kindly don't harass your executives like this.

    Pros

    nothing good for non executives

    Cons

Lot of difference in salary and facilities of executives and non-executives, specially after third PRC due from 01.01.2017, non-executives are treated as second category employees, executives throw their work upon non-executives. Laptops being issued to executives are used by their children, entertainment allowance is misused by executives. BAD IR RELATIONS.

    Advice to Management

Treat executives and non-executives in a similar way and lessen the gap between them.
