Pros

Staff in the inner circle of Sri Lankan origin are well paid

Cons

The CEO is a paranoid dictator . The offices have cctv and microphones . There is a physical verification of desks and kitchen equipment every day . Staff are threatened , belittled and demeaned. There are backward processes and the company operates in total chaos . They are anti English and rather hire foreigners who they can abuse at will. Staff are Treated like criminals and there is no trust . This is an horrific place to work. Anyone who enjoys it here is a fan of self harm

Pros

Some very committed people with good knowledge and work ethic to adapt and find solutions. The roots foundation is a brilliant initiative. A healthy annual bonus being the main and only real benefit to note. A business that should have limitless potential in every aspect, but.....

Cons

A lack of leadership across the entire group, zero empowering of people to do the jobs they are paid to do, micromanagement the norm Waning culture - A disgruntled workforce on the whole with the direction things are going in, people engagement has stopped altogether with business communication as poor as I've experienced in my career. Poor strategic planning - As a result of several acquisitions the business is now 'in bed' with Deloitte, every penny being scrutinised, resulting in people not having the tools available to perform their roles. Outdated, archaic infrastructure, with serious investment required across most business areas to streamline/fix/build for the future. Flexibility - I appreciate and respect the decision that people are required to be in an office 5 days a week, but the 1980's 'you must do 8:30am - 5:30pm' is an astonishing approach to any 'we offer work life balance' message in 2024.

Soul crushing workplace

Pros

Somewhat decent pay, only decent thing

Cons

You are constantly micromanaged and told what to do and you have cameras everywhere in the office and are constantly watched. If you leave the desk for more than 15 minutes you have five missed calls from reception and them checking if you are seated, despite you've done all your work! There is zero work life balance, they don't let you WFH and even with doctor's documents they ask you a hundred questions as to why you have to work from home. Staff is constantly threatened and put at risk of redundancy. None really cares and none trusts none here. No bonus given, no pay raise. It's me most soul crushing place ever, feels like the big brother. Mid management blame those underneath for every mistake, despite there is no communication from them. There is a huge turnover of staff, people quickly leave as soon as they get here. Forget about your private life. There is zero encouragement and support to do better and I found the place at times mysoginistic.
