I worked at PruittHealth full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Meaningful work serving a population who needs empathic care.

    Cons

I did all of the discharge planning for a large facility averaging 16 discharges a week. Some of which were very complex. I had additional responsibilities delegated to me that were outside of my job description that involved notifying patients when their insurance was not going to provide financial support for their rehab. This destroyed any report and made it difficult to get families to work with me to come up with a safe discharge plan. Additionally my nursing counterpart could not perform all aspects of her job and I was treated like her backup. I work most days 730am to 630pm sometimes without a lunch break. I would also get phone calls from nursing staff on the weekend if a patient decided they wanted to discharge immediately. Additionally medicare was very resistant to pay for necessary medical equipment which required me to try to get more and more documentation from doctors who were only on site one day a week.

I worked at PruittHealth full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great coworkers, great learning experience. During my time as maintenance director I learned how to rebuild power beds, and television's, installed television system, laid flooring, repaired ac units, replaced condensing units, repaired roof leaks, remodeled kitchens, painted entire building inside and out and much more. Be sure to bring your A game.

    Cons

1 paid holiday per year, no 401k match, no consistency in management. Depending on the facility it may be a one man show. Can be overwhelming for one person.

I have been working at PruittHealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

patients and family were very pleasant

    Cons

first impression the building is extremely old and out of date and 98% of time it reeks of urine. too many patients for nurses and techs. constant turn over. way more management than floor nurses. never seen a place with more managers then people to manage. benefits are very expensive and subpar to say the least. very sad when you cant even figure out what some of this "management" does besides collect a paycheck. training is a joke at best. should make a non smoking facility since many employees/management spend majority of shift outside smoking and gossiping.

I have been working at PruittHealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some Co-Workers are helpful and kind.

    Cons

An extremely high turnover rate. This puts added stress on already overworked and understaffed employees. As management just push added work on to team members. There is no accountability between management and their failing policies. No communication between anyone just confusion. Promotions are not based on job performance or merit, they are based on who you know. Terrible benefits package that is purposefully withheld from you during interview process. Ask about the High benefit premiums and PTO policy before accepting. I would never recommend this company to anyone and would advise you to run if offered a job here. This is from the Corporate level to the facilities it is a mess. This is a case study on how NOT to run a company.
