Thank you so much for your positive rating and comments about our culture and people! We've collected over a million stories as part of our Oral History Projects, preserving the legacy of hundreds of thousands of alumni and members of our partner organizations as well as our nation's veterans. The production of these publications is the best and most cost-effective way for the schools and organizations with which we work to ensure that their database is up-to-date, and as part of that process we offer a variety of products in our packages. We are fierce about our standard of service and the experience we provide on each and every call. We review hundreds of calls each week, scoring them to ensure that we have clearly communicated every time, that we have correctly recorded each person's story and information, and most importantly that we have been kind and thoughtful and respectful every time. Our goal is for every individual to open the final publication and be just as proud of it as we are. We are concerned to see that you referenced the quality of the materials and would like your candid feedback. We encourage you to reach out to your manager or a member of the People team so we can have an open dialogue about this, and so we can improve in any needed areas. We appreciate you!

Lack of Integrity

Decent benefits, ok training, good business idea
Cons
the business idea has a poor implementation, they lie to customers to get them to call and expect their sales staff to resolve the issue they created and blame the salespeople with the misconception presented to their callers up front. They will tell the customers that they are calling for one thing when it is a sales pitch. Management seems to be almost robotic at times, there are a few decent team leads in the mix. When requesting HR to be present due to concerns about potential discrimination HR may turn it on you and tell you you are the issue. Do not listen during initial interviews to coming dates you may not be able to work or life events that are coming. Will cut and alter pay without warning and will lay off positions as well that are in need such as editors. will lie about knowing about coming changes when asked while claiming they are transparent.

We are disappointed that you did not have a positive experience at PCI. We are a Fortune 100 Best Place to Work and were rated #1 for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices by Top Workplaces, largely based on anonymous surveys of associates. Our partners are contractually obligated to promote the program, and their pages set the expectation about a sales component of the call as well as include information about the packages that are available. As the vast majority of our work is inbound, we typically see a positive experience for both our clients and our associates. In the last few months, we made a significant decision to discontinue our focus on one line of business and instead shift all focus to the most profitable lines of business. We understand your disappointment that our change in direction impacted the work and roles of some of your colleagues. We are very proud about the implementation of cutting-edge AI into our processes and are currently processing stories as they come in, with no wait. We wish you all the best.

This company changed my life.
6 Jan 2023 - Inside Sales AssociateRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
First I want to say I don’t know where I would be without PCI. They truly do care about their employees despite recent events. The CEO did call a meeting after the layoff and set forth a plan. He didn’t just give up he and all the other leadership fought and we ended the year profitable! To see higher leadership hold themselves accountable and say we need to change too inspired me and motivated me to do even better in my calls. Great job to marketing whatever you are doing keep it up I see a huge difference on my calls and much more engagement and better stories. After we didn’t profit we still got a Christmas bonus! They didn’t take that from us that shows they care. I see us having a bright future as long as we live the values, I am so thankful to still be in the PCI family and this is where I want to retire.
Cons
I won’t lie 2022 was rough the layoff and turnover broke my heart I lost many friends in the company that I won’t ever forget but I’ve stuck with those who are still here and made new ones. I do feel for a while leadership did lose their vision however after the layoff they have worked hard to get back on track. We all fall sometimes it’s a matter of getting back up.

You won’t regret working here
4 May 2023 - Anonymous in Dallas, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You will NOT… I repeat… NOT regret working here. Say what you will about this company from a customer perspective, but as far as how they treat their employees go, they’re GREAT. I was there for over four years and I would have NEVER stayed that long if they treated me poorly because I’m not a sadomasochist and unlike the rest of the country I won’t stay in a crappy job just because it pays well. I stayed because I liked it and I only left when I wanted something different.
Cons
Nothing. I was just ready for the next adventure.
