Great small business with outstanding reputation supporting Army Team C4ISR for over ten years. All previous issues are behind them.

    Cons

Company needs to grow and win more prime contracts. They need to diversify their customer base throughout APG and Fort Belvoir.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Pay is nice. Management doesn't bother you at all. As far as you are billable to government they dont care about you.

    Cons

This company has very bad reputation. They cant more business because of lawsuits. Also, no one knows what are they doing.

I worked at QED Systems full-time

    Pros

The team I was working with those co-workers were very talented. Decent paycheck.

    Cons

This company is not a consulting firm. They are a staffing firm. They call themselves as consulting company but at the end they just like to fill bodies. As far as you bring a paycheck they wont even call you. There is no leadership at all. The managing partners don't know how to build relations with customers. They cant even say 2 sentences to their employees at Christmas party.

    Advice to Management

Sell your company. CEO is the biggest enemy of the company

I worked at QED Systems full-time

    Pros

Fair compensation, no real emphasis on rank/seniority

    Cons

Management brings about frivolous lawsuits against each other and employees, no upper management support, unprofessional management styles, no "check ins" with employees to gather morale, marketing, or strategic information, no dedication to their employees/desire to defend employees, quick to throw employees under the bus when it best suits management, no true structure to the company, does not follow through with rectifying...

    Advice to Management

Take a look at how successful government contracting companies manage their employees, how they network, and what they offer to their employees. Instead of paying ridiculous salaries to unnecessary "directors", talk with your employees to discover networking and marketing opportunities for business development. Stop with the inter-company lawsuits, it does not look good in the eyes of clients/potential clients, and...

I have been working at QED Systems full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The compensation is consummate with experience and the area with bonuses available. The Partners listen to the concern of the employees and will do what they can to make things better. The benefits package is good and includes several perks. Because the company is small, they cut through the red-tape and attempt to make sure things are done quickly, such as reimbursements for travel. Every employee is noticed, no...

    Cons

As a small company business is extremely competitive, many employees where several hats and centralized management of assets, software and other administrative items does not exist (at least for now). Career growth is sometimes tied to bringing in new business, but this is mostly due to the fact that currently the company is a Government contractor.

    Advice to Management

Do not forget about the people as the company grows, the "little guy" who is consistently plugging away is just as important as the manager.
